You know, I will say, this patch has cemented the fact that I will put it down and try out LE with the new update.
I've never played LE and had zero desire to try it out previous to 0.2.0. I don't hate PoE2 as it stands, but they definitely made a litany of anti-fun decisions. To be honest, the early POE2 0.1 version, the new bosses and characters brought me a lot of fun.
I also played almost every character to the endgame. Except for the map The Dreadnought, where monsters fly over from out of sight, blocking any movement routes and surrounding the player. Melee early game is more difficult than ranged game, because it is difficult to achieve both survival and damage in the early game, and most of the dropped equipment is unnecessary or even useless. And now version 0.2 weakens almost all skills, making the game more difficult to play. The character may be surrounded by monsters at any time, but unable to kill them, or be killed by the boss at any time. Challenging difficult bosses and winning them a few times can give you a sense of accomplishment and reward, but it's not fun at all when you do it N times, not to mention it's just an ordinary monster. And fighting a boss for several minutes or even more than half an hour, only to see garbage will make you feel like you have gained nothing. To me, chapters are like beginner quests, which teach you how to play the game. Now it's just like when I encountered the demon king right after leaving the novice village, and I can only let the monster slaughter me. I even invited my friends to play with me before the big nerf version 0.2 was announced. But when he reached the final stage of Act 1, he felt miserable and couldn't continue playing. I don't have any masochistic tendencies, and I feel sorry for him having such a sad experience.
