Biggest pile of dogshit ever

Playing a fresh new character is the most unfun gaming experience. It's terrible but I dread starting fresh in this game. The useable items are so rare, and crafting orbs are just as rare. It's frustrating because once you get rolling its not bad. Thats if the game isn't running at 5 fps or crashing 2-3 times an hour. Really disappointing. It's fairly clear what direction they are taking this game, and it aint for me.

No one is dealing with ruthless 2.0 after the honeymoon of 0.1. I've never quit a PoE league day 1, but this broke me. Utterly boring slogfest, I can't even imagine how bad of new/casual player repellent this is gonna be without all the people shilling for it because its new and GGG "just needs time to cook".

That's nice, I can't wait to go hope and play some more.

I do find it hilarious that you call everyone who likes it shills, but haven't stated anything stating why you feel the way you do... sounds like a D4 andy to me.

I played warrior to 96 in SSF in 0.1, that was far less dogshit than this. Never touched diablo ever.

Im sure the game is fine at endgame, and ppl will be 1 button clearing, but frontloading all the difficulty into the first 8 hours of every new league is just retarded beyond comprehension.

I can definitely see the frustration from people with the front loading of difficulty, it's a rough start... I picked huntress because it's new and I am feeling the lack of power I have, I'm assuming I'll figure it out eventually... but I definitely hear you, could use some toning but I do like that their is some barrier of entry... to weed out of people who aren't willing to learn, at least that's my feeling on it.
I got the sauce.

game development with most live service games is "find what the players like and get rid of it"

they killed Smite with that strategy and POE1 is being ignored and now we have this.

I think it's probably time to find a new hobby. Gaming just isn't good anymore.

The funny part is that there will be always players who call PoE 2 dogshit no matter what changes GGG do.
Player wanted meta shift, now they are dissappointed.
Player wanted slower gameplay, now they are complaining.
Player wanted more portals in maps, now they are saying it is not enough.

Game should ramp up in difficulty, not be frontloaded then easy mode. Thats how it was in 0.1, act 1-3 on a fresh start was just awful, but it was new, and people forgave it. Secondary characters had a market with cheap leveling gear, access to leveling uniques, it was bearable. But if every league start its like this its going to make people not want to invest 8-X hours setting up a league stuggling with white mobs and taking 2+ minutes to kill every boss.

I'm sure leveling is fine with good gear, im sure we will be blasting endgame, but why have this horrible unfun early game experience? What purpose does it serve?

I agree that the difficulty should scale the further you go in the game, maybe they could put a barrier to entry at the end of act 1 instead? I know the struggle, I remember the feeling of starting my first souls game, getting over that hump was a struggle and if every season feels that way, I can see it wearing on people... including myself.

Game does not need to be hard until like mid maps, then the diff should be cranked way up. People have the tools and options to tackle them there.

0.1 game was only hard fresh start act 1-3, maybe some builds and some peoples loot RNG it was difficult up to maps, but after that it was just 1 button screen clear if you knew what you were doing. You had currency to trade for upgrades, you had plenty of skill gems, support gems, gold to change spec and whatever.

If you are brick walled in act 1-3 normal, all you can do is grind a zone below you level, sell items for gold, gamble, or pray for a natural usable drop and do this for hours just to progress a bit. Or grind a boss for exalts and go to the market and get some upgrades. No vets want to do this in acts, and new players have no idea how to and will just smash their face against a boss for 30 minutes and then quit.
So what was the complain again? playing fresh is hard or something?

Ya, why have the game be ruthless 2.0 for the first 8-12 hours of gameplay just for it to turn into 1 button mash screen explode for the rest of the time good design?

Well, I like a game that has it's difficulties all the way through. I don't want this game to be easy at any point... I'm don't want it to bend me over but I don't want it to feel "easy" either. It's like the old JRPGs back in the day, the boss is wrecking you? Go run around in the grass and grind exp out for levels... sometimes you just gotta grind either gear or levels to advance.

Apparently they've already put out buffs and I'm all for it. I just want the game to have it's challenges and if people get filtered out because they can't hang... I think that's a good thing for the game, GGG might not be and you'll more than likely get a much easier leveling process the further we get into early access.

Also I'm a vet myself and I am 100% okay with doing the grind at times in acts, I get that you feel a certain way, but you speak for only you.
I got the sauce.
