Game freeze with map reset

GIGABYTE WINDFORCE GeForce RTX 5090 (Nvidia)

Same issue for me. Happens even out of combat in my hideout. I have a gaming laptop with a 4070 and a rig with a 3080ti and it does it on both of them.

Happening to me as well. NVIDIA. I dont have much faith in POE support though. They dont respond to any emails (even for microtransaction purchasing issues)

Having the same issue. I made another post about this actually a couple days ago but it got no responses. I'm glad to see others have this issue as well and it's not just me.

I didn't have this issue before latest patch (don't think it was even happening with the main 0.2 patch but maybe one of the hotfix or subsequent patches after it but not 100% on this).

I'm also using NVIDIA (3070ti). What happens is the game just freezes for 5ish seconds (frames don't seem to drop according to the Steam FPS counter). Near the end of the freezing period the game pauses briefly and then I'm back but my map fog of war is completely reset and my checkpoints are also reset even if I have fully discovered an entire map and I'm in the middle of the map when it happens it acts as if I'm new to the zone.

This also happens in town when I'm doing nothing so it's not a performance thing associated with any sort of activity. It also doesn't happen that often but often enough to be annoying AF. Maybe once every 20-30m.

Wanted to also point out I'm not on the absolute latest NVIDIA drivers (one back from latest). Going to install the latest now and see if that does anything.

I also have this issue. I thought it was something to do with servers but it's nvidia drivers. I have yet to try the old 566.36 drivers.

But yea how has GGG Not commented on this? This is a massive issue. It's going to get me killed on hardcore sooner or later.

I wonder also if it has anything to do with the fact that POE2 always uses the POE1 profile in the nvidia drivers because the geniuses over at GGG decided to name the clients the exact same thing

Yeah that screwed me big time and support hasnt said a WORD. Im fairly new and I saw the in game message about the mystery box. I was on the website and I saw a set of 5 boxes for 250 and bought it. I get in game and realize it's the settlers pack from POE1...I was never in the poe2 store. Lesson learned. But yeah, theyll happily take your money then ignore you

Getting the same issue since last patch. Running on RTC 4090 with latest driver as of today. On top of that the EU servers are getting DDos. I am dying too much from events out of my control.
