I have died after being stun locked for 15 seconds today, I have the 90% resist character with 80% armor, 600+ strength, over 3.5k hp, and 75% block cap. I would one shot the entire screen of mobs, but I could not do any action for 15 seconds straight.

WArrior VISION abilities have nothing to do with being permanently stunlocked by frenzy mobs. Screen had 30 mobs each of them attacking 3 times faster than me and interrupting every thing I could try.
Excessive stun just comes from the way stun works. Light stun not only interrupts you, but also stops you from acting for a short period, and that short period is what makes combat clunky and jaggered when you don't have high stun protection, and the game is throwing swarms at you all the time.

A hit at 100% of your max life stuns you 100%, then it scales down linearly until under 10% when the chance is discarded. This means hits have to be at least 10% of your max life to even have a chance at stunning you.

There's supposed to be stun protection somewhere to avoid stunlock, but it works by raising your light stun threshold by 50% if you have been light stunned in the last 4 seconds. Since light stun threshold is just your max life, this stun protection scales off your max life as well.

So anyone who's already vulnerable to light stun due to low life, i.e. someone who needs that stunlock protection the most, is also designed to have the least effective stunlock protection.

This is why players either feel it's fine, or it's horribly excessive.

And it's also why in a campaign where gear upgrades are rare and far, resulting in your max life not being enhanced smoothly as you progress, while mob hits continuously grow bigger, eventually you'll find yourself suddenly being stunned all the time.

Getting excessive stuns means you need to farm for pieces with more Life/Stun Threshold, or ES if you have nodes that give you stun threshold based on ES.

PS: I also think stun is out of control in this game, but I think it's because the stunlock protection is designed the wrong way round. It should be an independent protection, not scaled on any player stat.

I'm having the same problem. All through the campaign was fine. First map, every monster that hits me interrupts my attack. Gone from having fun to wanting to quite. I didn't even complete that Tier 1 map

yeah it was already annoying af before 0.2.0, just pure frustration
just did a simulacrum, died to stun, checkpoint surrounded by enemies and as soon as i move i'm dead again

Its enough two damn white mobs to trap and kill you, not even letting you strike back—this is fucking bullshit. I hope the devs grow a brain and get rid of this crap once and for all.
Hey look buddy, we have to be fair to the inanimate enemies of the Path of Exile 2 video game digital world.

They need their fair shot at killing you too, understand? So it's totally fair that they ministun you into oblivion because you let just one of them hit you once.

It's not like this is a game about having fun or something like that.
