Just completed Act 1. Zero deaths so far. POE2 is fine. The crybabies need to stop complaining.

this is true, i don't bother putting any feedback on these forums as the 1st thing that happens is the swarm of people who are so great and love the game, but ironically are not in game because harassing the people who have issues with the game is more fun than the game in its current state.

Perhaps some of the problem here is a lack of combat education on the part of GGG?

There are 4 white trash mobs in the Campaign Act 1-2 alone that some people have no idea how to kill with weaker characters/gear.

So much so that GGG even patched some of the to spawn less because they were "OP" as there are no Chaos resists until late Act 2.

-The crabs that spit poison (chaos damage) and move as fast as alien face huggers.

-The guys with shields in the tombs (if you lack pure DPS then you have to roll behind them to even damage them as you get swarmed by skeletons)

-The bog witch hex circles in Act 1 as the game starts, who woulda thunk those circles can one shot you if don't roll in time because of lag or can't see the deep blood red circle among the darker terrain sometimes.

-The giant spiders in Act 2 that drop from the ceiling enmasse and spit so much poison (chaos damage and no resists still for your character) that you drown in a pool of it on a lag spike while trying to roll out.

Instead all these fan bois do is insult instead of educate when the complaints by the 100's are on the forums.

- the crabs have a high attack rate and do phys damage that poisons - if you have even minor phys mitigation, the chaos damage does nearly nohting at all because the DoT (even though it is chaos) is based on the phys damage, which even like 20-40 armor will do wonders against. They also have such a high attack rate that a shield with 26% block makes a large difference - not to mention you can raise the shield.

- there are PLENTY of tools to combat the shield mobs in the tombs... you are supposed to be more creative than just walking up to them and slapping them or rolling into the mobs they are protecting.

- the red circles from the bog witch are easily dodged and they are not hard to see...

- the giant spiders in act 2 do physical damage that can poison - similar to the porcupines with attack speed, that applies a slow.

There are legitimate criticisms for the game but all of your points are terrible. All you've done is highlight your own inability to problem solve with the tools available to you.

Every one of those scenarios you mentioned exists early on as the games way to teach you how certain mechanics work in low-stakes scenarios and you are sitting here acting indignant because you can't figure it out.

There's plenty of people on the forums and in game who would help you through those scenarios yet you default to the position of whining and even worse - pre-emptively validate it by brining in a hypothetical group called "some people" to validate the assignment of your irritability to game design rather than player skill.

That's why it's a mentality issue, and that's why everyone like this looks like a crybaby.

Yout literally just parroted everything I said to include how to kill the mobs and not die while insulting me for being a crybaby about it? Are you simple or just one of those "fanbois" so stuck in his own world all you can do is lash out?

Tell that to my screen full of fireworks explosion cluster grenades, I literally just pray for the best when I use that skill while mapping. I can't make out any on death effects or ground spells.

Stop trying to put people down for sharing what they think of the game and learn to speak for yourself more. The majority agrees the game is in a bad state and so when you make a post like this know you are in the minority of the player base.

If anything it's individuals like you that are bad for the community. Trying to take the stance of better than, when all you are is bad for the community and make the game worse for everyone who wants it to get to a better state.

Coming from someone with almost 1k hours in EA, there are numerous problems with it and anyone who wants to share their feedback can only go to make the game better. Posts like yours, however, only make the game worse and limit what feedback people may give as they have to deal with weird people like you talking down to them for no reason.

But the game isn't in a bad state its literally in a beta state.
Many people are throwing simple but damaging words around simply because they're not getting their way.

The "majority" is like an Amazon product review, only 1-5% of people are a part of the review process.

Limiting the feedback is exactly what we need because most feedback is literally worthless ie "I'm getting one shot!"...what lvl, what tier map, what conditions, what defenses what skill selections what node defenses what debuffs/curses etc etc, its really in poor taste you would damn OP's opinion yet let a herd of others specify nothing but baseless words and probably baseless gameplay mechanics/theory.

It was not lashing out, it was calling out, and it was warranted. Lets recap.

Your Argument: Combat is designed poorly.

Your Support: "There are 4 white trash mobs in the Campaign Act 1-2 alone that some people have no idea how to kill with weaker characters/gear."

My counter Argument: All 4 of those mobs exists to enforce a lesson on "some people" so that they learn how to manage and recognize specific attack styles, scenarios, and damage types, as well as their interactions with various offensive and defensive stats and movements/attacks.

These occur in the early game because it is a low-stakes environment. Learning these lessons early prevents situations where a lack of skill/knowledge comes back to haunt "some people" in a much more punishing way later in the game - which would likely feel way more unfair to "some people".

I then went through all 4 of your examples to illustrate my argument. I finished on the comment about mentality because you took the route of demanding developers make a game easier for you, before even making the effort to ask for help or do anything to rise to the challenge.

On top of that, you felt that posturing your argument on behalf of a hypothetical group of "some people" added credibility.

Let me be clear - that group of "some people" is just a collection of internet comments and videos you've chosen to look at an click on. It is not a complete representation of everyone who plays this game, and just because a sentiment is shared, it does not automatically suggest or enforce the appropriateness or validity of that sentiment.

It's easier to feel better about being bad at something if a lot of other hypothetical people are bad at it too - it removes any personal responsibility from the equation.

It's fine if you just want to play a brain-off game and slap in some points to a build and feel like a monster slaying demi-god. You're allowed to have a preference for that. It could also be the case that there are some bad design aspects - this is not a perfect game.

However, claiming "bad game design" with 4 demonstrably false pieces of support backed up by what is essentially Internet group-think only highlights the fact that you are upset you can't play through the game in a brain-off manner - which again, could just very well be your preference, not necessarily bad game design. Not everyone needs to enjoy recreational problem-solving, nor are some people capable of it.

Maybe you would be better off taking a break and coming back in 5 years after poe2 becomes a solved game like poe1. By then I'm sure there'll be plenty of guides and videos to hold your hand as you fight the mobs "some people have no idea how to kill" and you won't need to petition the developers to make it easier for you.

Or, if you like, there's plenty of people in this forum who would actually really enjoy helping you (and all the other "some people") figure out how to fight the mobs and kill all the bosses and become better at the game. We are, afterall, here because we want to play the game and have fun. If you're struggling, there's other people having fun who would probably like showing someone around a game they've made their hobby and have been successful with.

I'd also say that anyone dedicated enough to post on a game forum, positively or negatively, is enough to qualify one as a "fanboi", so we're both guilty of that lol.
lol cool story, I wish I could convert my 100$ from poe2 to poe1, cause imo this is hawt trash. But hey were all entitled to our own opinions right?
TLDR DGAF..try putting more effort into real life instead of trying to win some minor argument/discussion about some trash mob difficulty in a alpha version of a video game.

I mean you saying the crybabies need to stop complaining only speaks to you being one yourself. The difficulty in the game is subjective and completely based on what build you are running. Plenty of people have run skills that are undertuned and have given their feedback in response, which is the entire point of an EA game.

Stop trying to put people down for sharing what they think of the game and learn to speak for yourself more. The majority agrees the game is in a bad state and so when you make a post like this know you are in the minority of the player base.

Thanks to both of you for posts, nice to know there are still some sane exiles out there.
