New patch G won't make a difference, change my mind
As they said in the notes:
" What this means is "you'll see more rares from these creatures" but what that just means is even more horrible t1 rares that drop. Even if they are "tier 5" the odds of it being of use is still about 0% You'll see a ring with evasion, mana regen, +20es, cast speed and physical damage to attacks it'll make still nothing of use. and this is why Last Epoch and Diablo are winning among most people. Killing a boss and getting a cruddy tier 8 random mixed nothing drop is still that, just cruddy. _________________________________________ UPDATE: LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE It's not QUANTITY we want, it's gameplay and quality. Loot doesn't have to be class based in my opinion, always thought that felt unnatural. But if 100s of hours brings me zero upgrades with out trading. Then the game is the vision you wanted. " This game doesn't have crafting, it has scratch tickets. And generally you get a dollar here and there. only 1 in 5k people get the 50,000 winner. This game isn't about skill, but rather, luck. They didn't buff loot back to how it was in 0.1.0
All they did was buff loot for bosses and wisps. I've had enough of this charade Never thought I'd say this, but time for me to play LE |

I gave 0.2 a chance but this just shows they really are clueless

1000% agree with op. they need a fundamental rethinking of how loot is handled.
i don't have numbers to prove any of it, only my experience while playing. play a dex build i see str and int gear, play a int build i see dex and str gear. play a str build i see dex and int gear. when a rare finally does drop that matches the defense or damage type of my build it 99% pure garbage. if i use a chaos orb hoping to reroll one of the trash mods it simply rerolls the one desirable mod it has while rarely every touching the trash mods. white chests, blue chests, yellow chest, all drop garbage, with the only difference is the quantity. before the new league back in standard i played a bow character, in 400 hours reaching level 90 NOT ONE BOW DROPPED THAT WAS AN UPGRADE. poe2 is a poverty simulator. I respect the game from GGG to use this announcement to try to bait people. They know some number of people are trying out another game actually right now, so they drop this hoping to lure folks back once they have their frolic for a couple weeks.
Hopefully the drop buffs make the game more worth the time investment but I would be shocked if its enough to close the gap for most people. I am not a masochist. |

+1
Drop rates in general need to be much better |
![]() |
Dialing back drop rates as they were in 0.1 and reverting all nerfs to passive tree and endgame items would be a start...and then class-based drops like in Diablo would also be an upgrade (int class gets more pure ES drops, etc.). And it would just be that: A start...theres so much more problems to address (armor, crafting, trials, atlas layout, RNG mechanics)

Ye, 100% agree with the OP, this patch is already super dead, the damage has been done, we can all hope for a next good league, otherwise PoE 2 is over!

" 1000% agree For class specific loot - maybe they just buff quantity of the items your character specializes in? just an idea |

Well...it will cause boss tablets to jump in price which sucks because you only can get 4 bosses out of a tablet so if you spend 30ex on a tablet your likelyhood to get something from those 4 bosses worth 30ex+ is pretty fucking low. So it fixes nothing, people will still be constantly poor. They could have boosted drops in breach and it would have been more successful just because the number of nodes affected with breach.
They either are trolling or they are so lost by their own choices that I don't want to help them anymore. They need to help themselves. See y'all in .3 maybe |
