it's hard to make an ARPG work for the majority of players who choose softcore. the game has to somehow provide enough content to allow several months of progression, and then reset the league so the softcores can be forced to reset their progression.

in hardcore you will just get reset anyway by playing the game.

monsters are still WAY to fast , ur getting randomaly one shooted and 99% of the time u couldnt even react to that that is not "meaningful combat" that is complete bullsh%

way to many AOE unavoidable dmg and mobs flying whit the speed of light
way to many effects on Death , u kill the thing it should stay dead and safe .
dang even walking in the swamp areas can get u one shooted
who the hell is this game made for ?
its clearly not for the poe1 community clearly not for casuals and Not beginner friendly .

at this pace i will drop this game very soon, all i wanted a New arpg successor to poe 1 whit cool mechanics and not a Roll& or one shoot simulator .

It isn't even that, EA can flesh it out and still hope to find that balance. The whole issue is that they're trying to cram two genres together that do not play nice and are polar opposites (souls-like and ARPGS). There are certain things that I see like the XP loss is an issue for a "softcore" crowd but thats kinda what made this game what it is.

There are many good references including their original game, unsurprisingly its becoming more and more obvious that they ignored anything that made PoE1 good and took the worst parts and made PoE2. It sure looks really nice though.

It doesn't have to be a copy of PoE1 but you can't have the ACTION role play in a slow paced souls-like game, its not working. The reviews are very very obvious about it. The more they force it, the more the community pushes back.

.2.2 showed that, and instead of taking the lesson and working on it they panicked, tried to double down and caved once their consumers started turning on them.

Beyond the casual/tryhard argument its getting to the point now after 2 major patches we aren't even seeing what framework Johnathan was selling us on before the beta even came out to play. I don't see anyone outside the steam reviews calling GGG, and especially Johnathan out on the heavy handed nerfs they said they weren't going to do.

I know it was said million times but definitely a skill issue.

Also +1 to OP but loot from bosses really needs improvement.

PoE 2 became a joke
Keep the challenge in the game!

To all softcores with someones builds, walkthroughs, currency trades, etc., imo you should speak the less about fun in a game. :)

We all know how most of players actually play.

Ye ye there were no starter builds for you on the internet when 0.2 launched.
Than there wasnt enough loot, so you could keep up with your content creatures (even those "pro" players were confused at start) you watch.
Than after you built it, there wasnt good farm of currency that can satisfy your crave for other players discarded trash loot you could trade up or just keep in a stash to flex.

Same song over and over and for decades.

So why dont you ruin another game by leaving negative rewievs and such, to make it trivial, but yeaaaa game will be easier for you.
Right now poe 2 is quite unique, but it seems most of players just want it to be the same as its predecessor or other popular online arpgs out there.

There are easy arpgs out there, games where you cannot "lose" and those are almost no challenge for you, just ask yourself why dont you play them, why those are not fun for you. :)

Your whole argument to keep the challenge in the game and how "its the same cycle" kinda goes out the window when most of the pro-ggg pro-PoE2 streamers ragequit over the changes no one asked for. You know, the same people who make those builds?

Im glad for the negative reviews, because unlike the forums which they control, theres no hiding the problems on the storefront like they try to do here. The steam reviews are more telling than opening up this cesspit of rage bait and malding this forum is full of.

The only thing the reviews are ruining is the warped perception the terminally online fools that fall on their own swords constantly to defend bad development.
