" well that explains everything, you are playing the game in the way that brings not only the most enjoyment but also longevity. to play an ARPG on softcore is like eating only cake, every day. it's cool for a little while but soon it will make you absolutely sick and feel like you can't take anymore until your stomach is finally pumped in a league reset and then you do it all over again. you have to leave some parts of the game in the distance as a goal in this genre. you have to actually climb the mountain, rather than take a lift up to the top and then complain that the view sucks. yes, the view at the top of the mountain sucks when you didn't put any real effort into getting there. " I don't know if I'm in the majority or minority (GGG probably has better internal stats) but I for sure have been enjoying 0.2 MUCH better than 0.1. The gameplay feels more engaging all throughout the campaign all the way to end game maps. Also people like to shout here / on reddit / on steam that the games completely doomed and there's nothing that can be done to save it but the reviews are still mostly positive on steam and half the players that started on 0.2 are still playing, Mark even said on the latest podcast appearance that the player retention is better than for any league for PoE 1. This was the FIRST patch in early access, people just have to chill out a bit and let GGG cook, the game is going to be the best ARPG ever created on the full release. You can quote me on that to clown on me if I'm wrong. |

" I hope that they can proceed without breaking the experience that currently exists in HC/HCSSF, I did not play PoE1 but a lot of Diablo II and they never had to add a ruthless mode to D2, didn't break the game to that point. |

I generally like the state of the game with few exceptions.
Greater/Perfect Jeweller's Orb drop chance is too low. I don't think I should be doing pinnacle bosses without a single 5 link (4 socket) gem. Some map affixes are not adding anything meaningful to the gameplay. These are Temporal Chains, 75% more enemy HP. Stun. Stun should be only ranged builds problem. Melee should not be stunned, ever, nor need to build stun threshold, which is (kind of) useless anyway because of the way stuns work. Armor is useless, and armor pieces slow down your movement. The only way to truly be tanky is through ES. Some ascendancies, like Blood Mage, need a major rework. |
