I don't like respeccing

Hello,

Path of Exile 1 did it better. I had to think about every single skill point carefully, because you couldn't just respecc with gold. Made choices in the passive skill tree much more meaningful while leveling.

Please rework respeccing for gold.

By that logic there should be a button in the game that makes your character level from 1 to 100 in one button click. I mean, if you don't like it, don't use it.

Yeah... technically... if you don't like it, don't use it.

Why do you need "friction" to have more "meaning" attached to your choices?
"Meaning" is an illusion anyway. You decide how much meaning something has.

What meaning??? You think Casual players have time to sit and plan a build from start to finish, WHICH is what they need to make every point matter, LMFAO. Levelling Spec and endgame specs are 2 VERY different things. Was there any logic in your post? Or are you just that self centered and elitist?

Oh, so your build doesnt end up working, now you need to make a new character, OH never gonna happen, Dead Game. You would chase so many players away from the game just by doing that. I wouln't play, it would be a complete and utter DISRESPECT to MY TIME in the game. It would be insulting to every player alive. You actually REMOVE choice from a player. It gives it 0 meaning, and I think you are just Trolling, which seems to be a common thing on these forums. [Removed by Staff]

I don't think your post made any sense. I didn't know how to answer to it differently.
This is a bad take and one that will eventually lead me to putting the game down.

Being thoughtful and being punished for not having perfect foresight are two completely different things.

Started a Merc HC run this morning—mace and shield, scaling damage through block. Felt solid… until Jamanra. Just hit a wall. I wasn’t skipping vendors or upgrades—my gold went into maintaining my character’s gear. So now my only option to advance this char is to farm Dreadnaught over and over again for gold.

And this isn’t a one-off with Jamanra - It’s happened on almost every character I’ve rolled this season, without fail. If it’s happening to me, it’s happening to a high percentage of those not following a build guide step-by-step. Luckily I’ve been able to figure it out each time—but that’s not how the average player is going to react. They’re just gonna log out.

And let me be clear—this is a skill issue. I misread the situation, I spec’d wrong, and I didn’t plan well enough.
But it’s still a GGG problem. Because in a game that just dropped 100 new support gems, experimentation is clearly encouraged—but right now it gets punished harder than failure.
