This is exactly why POE2 hasn't been fixed yet. Everyone today is so soft and weak that we can't have meaningful critical discussions, which despite what you were taught by liberal teachers DOES involve conflict and hurting peoples' feelings.

Have you ever seen PhD students get grilled at elite universities? Some of the professors are so ruthless that students leave in tears. This is what the real world is actually like. But this is also how things get discussed seriously and ultimately changed.

I feel like half the users and the moderators on these forums are so busy being "morality police" that there is a lack of focus on discussing the actual issues. Discussing the issues is more important than peoples' feelings.

You seem to have an idea that serious discussion devolves into something nobody would want, and of course if someone disagrees, you're the one the to set them straight, as they MUST be liberal. As someone else commented, "Watch out guys, we have a badass over here."

I'm 63, father, grandfather, multi business owner, veteran/National Guard/2 tours Iraq (officer), same community and supporter of it my entire life, been gaming before the internet (BBS/college boards), and yeah, I have seen PHD students get grilled, I was doing the grilling...lol, how about YOU sport?

The idea that grilling PHD students is "real life" is ridiculous, NOTHING is more real than raising a family, and on the other end of the spectrum is war and everything that involves. (Especially for military families)

You need to have a "critical discussion" with yourself about what "real life" is, simple as that.

Demeaning those with special needs is NEVER the answer to anything.
