What exactly am I coping with? I said the loot is just as bad as it was 0.1 and that i believe there are bigger reasons that impacted the numbers.
That loot is as bad as 0.1 - when it's worse.
And the evidence being? Anecdotal at best. You'll say this person said it, that person said it, these people said it, you feel it while i'm feeling no difference between 0.1 and 0.2 and it being just as bad. There are people on global who feel it's better because they got more exalts during the campaign. Hell, for the sake of the argument let's leave it at "you're right and i'm wrong". You come back to a new league for new stuff to do and in 0.2 there's really nothing new to do so loot isn't the primary offender of why 250k out of the 500k didn't come back.
When you play a game for over a hundred hours the numbers at some point simply dont lie anymore. I have never ever played an ARPG before where during the first 100 hours the loot felt completely different than over the next hundred hours and that only being bias. That may go for a couple hours but eventually it will even out.
In thousands of hours of D2, a game with very sparse drops, there were never swings like this over such a long time. Maybe you have a bad loot for one evening with the same build and gear but not over weeks unless the devs severly tweaked the numbers. The many ppl complaining here about it - most of them providing their own several hundred hours of gameplay - further confirm it. We are not dumb. Ofc the loot changed drastically downwards. If you can still feel it after hundreds of hours then at some point it just becomes undeniable.
Another hint would be: Have they ever denied it to this day? The "no loot" problem/accusation of 0.2 came up on the very first days of 0.2 release here, on reddit, on yt, everywhere and it wasnt present anywhere near the end of 0.1. Ppl immediately realized things were vastly different from 0.1 and voiced it very loudly. Have the devs in any interview or patch notes/hotfix announcements ever denied it? Would you just accept this outrage as a dev if it was all made up? Or would you set things straight at the first opportunity you get?

I mean... we don't even need them to confirm that loot is different because the 0.2 patch notes exist.
- Killing Rare Monsters required for Map Completion no longer has a chance to grant Monster Modifiers to the remaining Rare Monsters.
- Increased the chances for Rare monsters to have 3 or 4 Modifiers in Maps (note this means they drop more items). This is mostly to compensate for the removal of rare monsters granting their modifiers to other rare monsters on death.
- The Tablet modifier for Rare Monsters having an additional Modifier can no longer roll.
- The modifier in Simulacrum for Rare Monsters having an additional Modifier no longer appears.
- The Deadly Evolution Atlas Keystone (Rare and Unique Monsters in your Maps have 1 to 2 additional Modifiers) has been replaced by a new Keystone called Ecological Shift which causes your Maps to have 40% more chance to contain Random Extra Content, and 20% less number of Monster Packs in your Maps.
Then the added wisps that seem to replace the loot instead of buffing it... y... loot is not on the menu boys.

True I forgot about the modifier patch notes. In addition it may also play a role that its much harder to create T18 maps in 0.2 as you not only have to find a corrupted area but get lucky that maybe one of the corrupted maps has the +1 monster level modifier on it, then you have to irradiate a nearby tower and hope to hit exactly that map, then you have to plug in a T16 map which is costly to produce already.
In 0.1 every corrupted map had +1 level so the chance to corrupt+irradiate was much higher. That also sped up leveling significantly.

Whose numbers though? Unless there's some global tracker of loot dropped it's all down to personal experiences. This week i might've got 0 div drops and say loot is worse while some dude will say "get rarity because i got 15 raw divs". Real global interaction btw. From personal example, i got not greater and perfect jewels last week, got 3 greater and 1 perfect this week, was there a shadow increase in drop rate?
As far as admitting or denying goes, Johnatan admited drop rate issue with the wisps in an interview. Paraphrasing but he said on paper it has 300% increase in drop rate but he didn't know at that moment why it didn't translate into actually drops in game.
I guess one could argue that upcoming G patch is admitance too?

Except not a single person will say he got 15 raw divs

i've read the patch notes for .xg, its sounds like a review on the matter but im not convinced yet that this can change the perception of shortage.
Anyway, its better than do nothing. lets hope 0.3 bring better game design

As i said, it was a real global chat interaction yesterday. One person said "shit drop rates' and another said "your rarity is shit cause he dropped 15". So personal anectodal evidences and experiences in the realm of "take my word for it". He did link his ring though.
