In-Game Auction House is Really Needed – Help Average Players

It's funny never seeing someone with a pre-POE2 supporter pack BEGGING for an AH in the game.

It's almost as if its pretty much only new people begging to change a major aspect of a game they only recently started playing.

Maybe chill out, take a seat. Enjoy the view. Take it in. You're in good hands, promise.

42h in poe1 it didnt conect with me
376h into poe2
Not to say endless hours on my many years playing diablo 2 (on release) and other like games.
This game has evident flaws, but could be a glorious game with some help...

AH makes the trading experience just not awful.
You can still trade with other players, this is a shop where you set a price and that's all. So when you go to buy to are sure you won't waste your time on scammers or afk.

trade site is amazing if you spend 5 minutes to understand how it works

2. The game is full of bots and exploiters.
This makes trading and the economy even harder for normal players who just want to enjoy the game fairly.

and it will be significantly worse if there's an AH. bots and smart players will snipe all the good stuff

Trade site filters are a+++, hands down some of the best i’ve seen for a game, up there with the best trade sites run by fans for other games.

But the player to player trade part is just bad.

Apparently you can’t tell bottlers are already sniping all the good low priced stuff (I doubt that, you know it, just are ignoring it because it invalidates your argument).

What an AH type setup does 100% solve are the low-fake listings that intentionally never sell, leading to hands down the biggest complaint about trade in PoE2 - having to send two dozen messages to buy an item.

With an AH, if you see an item at a price, you’ll be able to buy it. No more scrolling through 3 pages sending 100 dms to try and determine at what price the listings are actually real.

No more price fixing - if a fixer lists an item at too low a price, it will get bought, someone gets a great deal, the price fixer loses, and that items is off the market, the price is no longer fixed.

It becomes pretty obvious the most vocal critics of an AH are the bottlers, abusers, and price fixers currently taking advantage of the trade site who would lose out substantially with an auction house…

not really, that said many people also upprice when u send a whisper.
or simply don't respond cuz of the amount of reposting that happens and botting.

Any way to stop bots using their fancy algorithms to snipe all moderately priced gear to resell at higher prices?

Limit the number of trades an account can make through the auction house in a time period while leaving direct player to player trade still a thing, additionally, add a gold tax to (auction house) trades.

It’s not rocket science. And no one is asking GGG to invent time travel or a perpetual motion device.

This problem has been solved before.

I'm pretty much always able to buy what pops up on my live search, and usually about 95% of my wealth comes from reselling items. I'd make way more money if there was an AH, but I'm still against it.

1 that makes no sense
2 you still struggle to buy, and from fake buyers too
site trade is good for small community game - more players = more scam, more market manipulative guys more afk and more frustation.

Even if i like the system on site - it can't work good for that large community and i will prefer to have auction house..

but..
this game have so null itemisation with just few usable afixes so it will also not work and make the so fff masive prices for items

High prices are because loot is really low.
Market corrects itself, offer and demand (check Adam Smith)
That's another issue, nothing to do with AH...

BTW you're so right, larger community leads to trading convolution.
The web would still be usable for barter and negotiable offers.
Auction House will kill the game. GGG will concede on many things but there will never be an auction house for gear

it most certainly will NOT kill the game at all.
No.
