Trials need to be removed from the game.

Listen, this post only tells me one thing. This is either just a bait or it's genuinely a selfish mindset.

A game has to have multiple levels of content to entertain a wider audience. If you barrow down the amount of content to appease a certain amount of the gaming audience then you have the potential to increase your chances of the project being a failure. This is why an MMOrpg that is strictly a pvp section of the genre won't be successful is because it's a niche section.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't exist, I am part of the group for the most part of the agreement that I don't like the trials but I will say I am glad it's there because when I am completely burned out of the task list of things that keep me entertained I know I can fall back onto the Trials for a few hours and reset myself.

But there are individuals out that that really enjoy the Trials, without the Trials those individuals will have a higher chance of just leaving the game when they either get bored or burned out.

Ok, so using that same logic, why are people forced to do this content if they don't like it?

Isn't it selfish to force content onto people who don't like it? Ascending is an extremely integral part of the game.

The overwhelming majority of people don't like this content - or at least the current iteration of it.

I would argue this content existing is causing more people to burn out and/or quit playing than the other way around.

The argument on this post is that is sucks, is boring and should be removed.

The closest thing to mentioning the accendancy mechanic is the selling of services but the reason behind it is because people don't like them.

I agree to a small extent that being forced to do them for the points needs to be looked into but still the main point of the post is that it should be removed because "it's boring" not because of the points.

There is absolutely nothing fun about this content.
Nobody liked them in PoE1.
Nobody likes them here.

I enjoy the idea and general implementation of the trials. Please speak for yourself, and not make broad sweeping prescriptions on behalf of the whole community.

I might agree with you if it was optional. Ascendancies are not optional. It's literally an integral part of progression. I have no problem with them existing for farming loot or something. That said I still think they should be improved to be more fun regardless.

Pay someone to carry you though it!!
Only sign you need that they suck.

Bigest mistake GGG has is thinking the game is good enough
to put up with persisting through that crap to keep playing it.

The game is mid.
Add friction , people bail.
They are not returning until aggressive advertising that all of this crap is gone.

Until then it will be a slow death.
The difficulty is literally the point - it's not "friction" it's game design. If you want easy mode there's plenty of other ARPGs out there.
POE2 isn't trying to be D4 and thank god for that. Some of us actually enjoy having to think about our builds and positioning instead of just holding right click until everything dies.
The game's in early access, of course it's rough around the edges. But calling it "mid" when it's already doing things most ARPGs haven't figured out in decades seems pretty shortsighted.

Yep exactly and PoE2 will remain a game worth committing too while other games are at best "seasonal cheap thrills".

For anyone frustrated...I don't really understand, you want a game that rewards you heavily but for minimum effort?
I've had a good bit of fun on this game and not that much stress and if some of you are trying to follow a guide on say lightning spear and struggling in the trade market for all the top niche kit you need then perhaps you just need to firmly say that you're not good enough to enjoy the high end game in this way which is fine...many people aren't high rank/status on other online/trading games but its important to remember that this is what makes these games worth playing and if you play it well you'll feel good.
The content isn't hard though, it's just random, tedious, incompatible with many builds/playstyles, and most importantly, not very fun, while being integral to progression
