IMO the biggest mistake here was to make it a sequel, gave wrong expectations from the get go, then it was hyped on top of it. but hopefully GGG can suck it up and do this one right. If they will buckle under pressure this game wasn't ever going to be great. Any creative project will be shat on by others, no matter how small, big or how much effort you put into it. You have to have a spine to put out your creation out into the world and stick to it. on a flip side you can't make something good in a vacuum. If they absolutely have to please the zoom zooms they should make 'Ruthless' but rename it to something less elitist, and balance the game around that mode, its not like the zoom-zooms give two fucks about balance anyway. The actual game looks like its going in an ok direction imo, they even gave us ways to personalize our experience, including loot. I don't think they said you wont need loot filter, otherwise it wont be supported. They said that about crafting mid campaign, but guess what I didn't craft in campaign in 0.1 on ssf anyway. I also dislike loot showers, that's why I set my filter to show me tiered items. You have what 4-5 tiers? you can set your loot scarcity as you please now. Set your ammies to show on tier 2/3+ if you see too many. sure you will see bunch of uniques but its still much better than PoE1. And it looks like we be getting more 'tier' options into game mechanics/difficulty itself which is a great approach. |

I make threads about PoE2 becoming PoE1 myself, but lets not make shit up, it destroys the overall argument if we start doing that. The 'builds of the week' are contradictory to their other statements, which is yet another bag of dicks. So no, not very happy about those. I'm not even happy about Breach/Deli/Ritual being here. I suspect it was one of those 'we will add it anyway' decisions. How are they going to go forward with this is what I'm curious about. I made few threads about that, and kinda disappointed you didn't reply to those tbh. It'll favorise build diversity and will feel like the game is better with thoose skills less used, since atm some are a real struggle to scale in end game. " I just wanted to try out PoE2 even though it got all the bad reviews. And I can see it: In PoE1 the standards of expectations of the playerbase were quite low. I cannot see the same audience falls for the same brainless gameplay as in PoE1. And if they make the game into PoE1, then I want to use my PoE1 characters, as they promised. More or less bought the last MTX in PoE1 cause they announced this. Now they do not connect PoE1 stuff into PoE2 (why announce it then?) but instead develop the game into a PoE1 copy? I just tried to login after 95GB download. Didn't let me until I buy more MTX. Not gonna do it tho. Game does not look promising. Melee builds always sucked in PoE1, they never did anything about it. Why would they do so in PoE2? Watching spellcasters and bows to clear whole screens of enemies with holding mouse button while you need to run close to enemy being the melee guy and cannot even reach position from where you can attack the enemy before the whole screen is cleared. So I assume they gonna design the melee stuff as well as in PoE1, from the lack of better understanding of how to design good games. The thing they have in mind is too complex for the developers to understand how it would work out properly. I am probably not going to play PoE2 at all, as it stands now. I just had to recover my password to login and try to test it despite of the bad reviews, so I thought I drop this post. I have given enough feedback in PoE1 that had lead their ways to make a succesful game and create mass content, that makes player blind to the actual bad gameplay mechanics. This time I will not do it for free. There is a way to make PoE2 actually a good game. I will not reveal it. Not for free. Not this time. But I will say one thing. The game designers lack in overall skill in game design and their belief they will get away with garbage gameplay a second time after PoE1, which was looked at in different ways (cause independent studio, diablo 3 sucked) during that time, makes developing PoE2 into pure PoE1 clone the only option this game dev team has now. All their other approaches, which obviously sucked, already failed. I am not going to accept this as a player. I am not going to give you the information for free what to exactly do this time, as I have done almost a dozen of times in PoE1. So PoE2 already now is on a timer, and cloning PoE1 in most aspects is mostly what the game devs are left with doing. And I can see myself try a PoE1 clone where I can use my PoE1 toons in PoE2 at some later point of time. I really do. But much more would be possible, if they knew. Последняя редакция: LSN#3878. Disappointing, but expected. They should have just kept their initial plan with one game two campaigns. I guess they truly believed at some point that POE 2 could be its own game.....but the current industry and current generation of gamers had other plans.
[Removed by Support] And this shouldn't be a shock, because aside from a few indie titles, and some outliers in the AA category, almost all other games are going in the same direction: repetitive, fast and thoughtless loops that create addiction.
