0.3 looks very promising!

All sounded nice, but something about all this feels strangely “off”, not sure whether its about skill being reworks, uniques removed or HP/Life/deflect stats being good or trade is easy.

I want poe2 to be good, realy hopes it will be, but after going thru the patch notes, theres just something on each point after point that just not complementing or sync’ing one another. Its like something not positive is just waiting to go ‘Boom’….just a hunch but i cant put it together

Hope my guts feeling is wrong and 0.3 is good when it launches
It is a good patch to skip.
As expected, they are ignoring the "zoom or meaningful combat" problem, maybe they think that ignoring it long enough will make it disappear :)

I personally will not play until they make end-game combat to fill actually interesting for me, which they might never do.

Still millions of buttons to press just to get buff to do damage on tuesday.
Still slow as fuck(im not taking about movement speed, more like action speed)
No movement skills, sprint looks jank as fk.
Endgame is a chore.
Still no swords/daggers which is absurd for arpg.
GGG really don't get it.

Some people enjoy to press million buttons, others only couple of buttons, nobody will be happy again.
Now waiting for info on the new skill tree to see possible build pathing and potentials, one of the thing i would like to know is “Enemy on Low Life” nodes viability since they removed the unique helm for 0.3

Also how effective passive block will be since the stat is lowered at Shield. Maybe GGG compensate it by increasing the % block chance at skill nodes.

Hope can get info on the new skill tree soon

The support gem restriction removal made me feel this way. It shakes the core of the game in a very chaotic way. They said they want more build diversity but this is such a lazy way of doing it. They essentially gave up on trying to make a well thought out game with healthy build diversity and just said "yolo dude, just let them do whatever they want, Idgaf anymore, lol".

I'm still going to try out this season but this change alone has me very disappointed with the game and GGG. The gameplay they showed on stream didn't appeal to me either. Very spammy, ultra low visual clarity, etc. Felt very cheap overall. Like a generic ARPG, all flashy but no identity. If that's the direction they're going then I'm not going to stick around, sadly.

Most things in PoE2 could have been done in PoE1!!!
In game trade, new sorting out of gears. new classes...The improved graphic could be new maps, can slowly replace older ones. Improve char models and animation can be done on PoE1, like WOW. The PoE2 Atlas is Atlas decorated with a painting in background....

The slower pace....well its turning to PoE faster pace anyway...

Can anyone explain what is really Revolution about PoE2 that cannot be done in POE1. The combos attacks? Don't see why it cannot be n PoE1.

Oh, it has a massive open world overworld now....oh wait its still the instance level with load screen between zones.

I think the best reason for making PoE2 is winning new players, who otherwise has no interested in a decade old game. In which they might have succeed.

It couldn't because a large amount of the PoE1 player base doesn't want those things. Is this your first day here?
Trade finally not being awful is a big plus, but I'm just very done beta testing this rn, especially with how long it still takes to get thru the acts on your first character(+trials).

And when the preview footage got crazy fps drops, my kinda oldish GPU will definitely struggle once again. I feel like this should be the biggest priority rn too considering how awful the console ports are, still
