Many people who play arpg to avoid "Meaningful" combat. The selling point for many about arpg is simple accessible combat. click on mobs until they died, with occasionally dodging.

Zoom or arcade blaster gameplay is exceptionally niche. "Normal" gamers outside of the arpg genre have no interest in that play style and consider it bizarre, boring and janky.

The fact of the matter is most "normal" gamers which also happen to be everyone else, want a good game. Not a boring 1 button seizure inducing mess.
There were so many changes to Sorceress we can pretend that it's a newly added class.
