POE2 Is Crashing My Network
I suppose it'd be just a coincidence, but my internet has been going out all day and usually only right after I start POE2. But my internet is usually completely stable as I pay for the biggest line my ISP provides. When I was working today, it was working just fine. Despite doing zoom calls and many other things that are high bandwidth. But every time I start POE2, the network crashes within 5 to 10 minutes.

That's an interesting one!
What do you mean it crashes your cable modem? Does it lock up? Restart? Something else? |

" After I play for a few minutes it resets my connection. I asked my ISP and they said that they had no idea what was going on but it looked like I was offline when I was online. Now I have been a programmer for 42 years and I run a team of software engineers. I have suspicions. That the game is triggering DDOS warnings and lockdowns on my IP. |

" Dont think so. It may not be game related at all, just a coiuncidence but it does happen regularly when I login. |

Here is the log of entries in my cable modem. There is a profile instability that only occurs when I am playing POE2. Anti-cheat software? Something weird is going on.

Does it happen consistently after playing for the same amount of time or is it random? What if you login and hang out in town doing nothing or sitting at the character selection screen?
Have you tried anything like connecting to a different server or using another computer? I doubt using another computer would change anything, but who knows. Just thinking of ways to troubleshoot. How about Wireshark. Are you familiar with that to inspect your network traffic? Sorry for the barrage of questions. My curiosity can't resist trying to solve a weird problem. You could try contacting support. They might direct you to their General Troubleshooting Guide. So, I'd maybe look through that first. |
