I gave this league 12 h but POE2 is Just Anti-Fun

POE2 is garbage, i'm done with this shit game, people playing it still prolly hate themselves

that is correct. I genuinely have nothing better to do at this moment, or else I wouldn't be touching poe2. I find it more enjoyable to watch cryptocurrency charts move up and down, and I'm probably going to do that instead of play another build when my current character dies.
i wonder how many of the people in this thread would actually enjoy endgame in poe2...

probably a good chunk but we will never find out because the campaign is SO god damn long. feels like its easily twice as long as it should be.
honestly it feels way better. The run needs work. The acts are way to long! No one wants to replay it every 4 months for the new season. It's going to take them a few years to figure it out. They have already started reverting back to poe1. They will fail for awhile then figure out no one wants this garbage in this state.
they added a lot and buffed a bit but again a lot of their time was spent on a package that mechanically doesn't feel good to use. 0.2 it was huntress, 0.3 it is infusions.

the content is great. abyss is a bit laggy but otherwise good. the new act and the stand-in preludes are a lot of fun and well-designed. the abilities and packages still have problems.

GGG is trying to make too many payoffs that are very mechanically constrained when they make abilities. we have a bunch of ability slots and already we are interacting with the environment and monsters, we do not need so many separate interactions baked into every button, and the "weight" you add to some of them can't be this "heavy" (there needs to be less animation time on a lot of things). there also needs to be some room because adding another ability is just adding a constraint in itself, casting another thing in the rotation is never free.

even the sprint is too heavy, it is so heavy that it is bugged on my keyboard. why can you immediately break out of it with an ability, but if you lightly graze a tree you go into recovery for 1.5 sec? Why can't you turn your character normally? when I run 5km/h IRL it doesn't feel like I am ice skating at 100km/h which is what the controls reflect. one hit into heavy stun also feels awful. I can take a slam from a giant and not get stunned if I am jogging, but if I am running 50% faster a slight breeze comes on I fall over?

the fact every NPC is a wall or pushes you around feels bad, even allies get in the way, it makes maneuvering in a party of more than 2 really frustrating, even duo your partner can start to annoy you, and it's not their fault it's just the game collision. it might add "weight" but you are sacrificing the integrity of gameplay to add this immersion.

the infusions are just too conditional and positional, already you need to combo a bunch of buttons but you also need to "wait for orb to expire" or "do x amount of damage" or "proc 10% chance on a target that was not already inflicted by an ailment". it just punishes you for engaging with the package with mechanical chores that have a pretty mid payoff.

designs like these just take the power fantasy out of the game, in a genre that is all about power fantasy

the new act and preludes were sick, the game looks great. the problem is the abilities/ interactions and just the mechanics of the player, they are trying to add intricacy and weight to everything but missing the most important aspect. they need to feel smooth and fluid even when you are being swarmed or in an intense fight.

I have no idea about the endgame. I dont have the endurance to get there.
Back in the days I was a very good Dark Souls 1 player. I beat the game on hardcore mode, probably the best achivment Ive done.

Im struggling to understand the idea behind this game. Like is the idea to get players tired of playing, of getting them frustrated well big congrats to GGG then, mission accomplished!

Waiting for 0.3 I tried POE1. Man what a blast, dying here and there as I should, but for the most part a smooth, fun and rewarding journey, and that was with very little time invested in it like 20 hours or so. Back to poe2 and it becomes so obvious that where poe1 shines nr 2 just sucks.

I really wanna love this game I really do, but why should I wanna log in, just to get busted once more. You guys state that we buff like every class, but you dont fix fundamental issues like pace, and the difficulty of the campaign as 2 examples.

i m enjoying the game i dont want this game to be fast people already have poe1 if someone want speed go play poe1
take 20-30 min to kill bosses
5 min to kill rares
sometimes it take 5-6 hits to kill normal mobs

level 26 sorc with +200 inc ele dmg ...
+1

I dearly love PoE, and I've given GGG loads of support over the years. 7k+ hours in PoE1 and that's probably on the low end of frequent players.
This being called PoE hurts my soul.

As far as the zoom v slow bit of PoE1 v PoE2. The fastest build I've ever made in PoE1 is pestilent strike. And not even a particularly good version of it. What I love most in games is being able to be up close in melee going toe-to-toe with enemies. I adore the active blocking and parrying of PoE2, but it's so heavily stifled by everything else. If I could get that sort of complexity/engagement in PoE1, I might actually never come back to this.

There are a lot of folx airing their grievances about the game right now, yeah, but keep in mind that those doing it probably do actually care about the state of the game. I want nothing more than to see PoE2 come into its own and feel really good to play. That said, I'm very much not enjoying how things are right now.

If you like it now, that's great! I'm happy for you! But, wouldn't it be cool if it had a robust community of enthusiasts like the first game has? Wouldn't it be cool if the game could be improved even more? Don't entrench yourself in something that's clearly unfinished. Keep pushing for something better. GGG can make it lots more fun for a wider variety while keeping some content that pushes the envelope for build crafting and skilled play. They did it with PoE1. They can definitely make it happen here.
I feel that...

It's seriously a pain to play right now. I feel like everybody else who says it's great is playing a total different game. I'm running around with absolute low-level dogshite gear because drops have been improved? At least not for me. Everything I try to craft ...sorry... gamble, turns into useless crap. I feel like progressing through my skill tree but not improving at all.

This game didn't need 3 additional levels of gambling with currency. Period. If GGG is trying to do something different with poe2 then this isn't.

I don't mind challenging boss fights or a challenge in general but when you have little control over how hard the challenge might be, it's not fun. It's not fun when the game does not reward you for beating previous challenges. It's not fun when you don't have any outlook on improving.

So far I cannot find any joy in playing. It's depressing.
