stuck in act 4 [enter the excavation site]

Anyone figured out how to fix this issue? I am now stuck and can't figure out what to do.

Just happened to me.

found this and just worked for me :)

"if you log out into the character select, select your character that is stuck and press "control + enter" it will prompt a message saying it'll log you directly to the hideout. "

Killed the boss, went back to level up since I was missing not much XP, died and now the door wont open. NPCs are also no longer following me. Going back into town does not fix it and relog also does not.

Fix for me was creating a new instance.
