The campaign is Mind numbing

Playing the Campaign feels really really boring. Its just mind numbing tedious work once you done the campaign a couple times.

The Campaign is also easy so its not a challenge where you have to adapt to the situation, but its not that easy that you can watch video/netflix while playing.

Most of the time you just cast the same skills just over and over again. Its like working in a factory doing the same 2 tasks for 8 Hours straight.

I started playing Druid to so i have some variety, but the novelty wore of pretty quick. I fell back to casting 3 different skills all the time to beat everything in the game.
I dont klnow if anyone thinks that is fun, but for me its not. I cant turn of my brian and do things. Thats just not possible i get bored extremely fast especially when its things i already did 10 times. Its the same reason i dont read a book twice or listen to an audiobook twice or play singleplayer games multiple times. Ive seen the game already playing a different class is such a small change, its barely worth mentioning.

Yeah idk what the solution is here long term. They seem to have just made the campaign in POE2 too long to be played seasonally without it becoming a pain point for many many people. There really isn’t a good solution for them other than cutting content they’ve already made (or somehow making some of it not required after the first play through).

I loved the interludes they added. I wish I had the option of playing 6 of those interludes vs 6 full acts each season.

It’s a bit concerning to me that the interludes we have are going to get turned into 2 more full acts, likely making the campaign even longer than it is now…

In the end it will be the downfall of poe2. The first time it was amazing. The second time it's faster. Then it becomes boring. I played through twice when the EA was first released. End was trash so I stopped. Then I have started each new update. Get to around level 40-50 and quit. I don't play trade so not having a good way to fix res or make upgrades is crazy. Having to move at a snails pace and dodge roll non stop is not fun.

You can replace "Campaign" with "Endgame" and it reads the same.

This game is about killing stuff. In both "modes" you're killing stuff.
I tend to agree, I hope they can come up with a solution. I think I've just hit the saturation point by now where I've done the campaign enough times that it's feeling like a huge drag to just do it again.

Sure I'm faster at it now but it's still very painful to league start through this thing. Alts are faster, sure, when you have access to lots of skill gems and trade.

I never understood the whole "RUSH TO ENDGAME" mentality. Even GGG in multiple interviews were like no the game starts at level 1 people. I for one, enjoy the campaign not for the stupid quests but because im feeling more progression and skills/gear matter way more than in endgame. By endgame your character is already pretty fleshed out and then your just chasing currency to try to keep up with the inflation of the market.
"I don't want to play the game you made, just the repetitive stuff at the end of the game."
- Someone, sort of

The story is the entire point of the game. This is a hack-and-slash dungeon grinder RPG. We play through the game, then if we want to keep playing the same character, we grind. If it got rid of its repetitive, grindy nature, it would be an entirely different genre of game. GGG isn't making a different style of game, just their own take on said genre.

I suggest trying different characters or different playstyles. If the game still bores you, this genre may not be for you.

There is one MASSIVE difference between campaign and endgame for me that makes endgame way way better than campaign - playing with friends.

It's a massive PITA to play with friends in the campaign, we don't play together 100% of the time - so no one is ever at the same spot, there's always someone who's replaying something.

While it isn't perfectly resolved in the endgame, it's much much better. We can swap between party leaders / atlas's, and generally it doesn't feel like I'm forced to "repeat" content with friends who are a little farther behind.

That's usually my big rush to get to endgame.

I can see that being a reason to rush to endgame i suppose. I do enjoy at endgame all playing together.

I think my comment is more directed to the people who literally hate the campaign and just rush to endgame and say there is no content. Kind of makes me chuckle cause they played 20+ hours or so to get to endgame and magically that 20+ hour was not content but just a "slogfest".

IDK i find, even with POE 1, endgame to just be you slamming maps to keep up with inflation of the market. I like the direction they took with POE 2. I hope they stick to the vision just flesh it out a bunch.
