There is one MASSIVE difference between campaign and endgame for me that makes endgame way way better than campaign - playing with friends.

It's a massive PITA to play with friends in the campaign, we don't play together 100% of the time - so no one is ever at the same spot, there's always someone who's replaying something.

While it isn't perfectly resolved in the endgame, it's much much better. We can swap between party leaders / atlas's, and generally it doesn't feel like I'm forced to "repeat" content with friends who are a little farther behind.

That's usually my big rush to get to endgame.

I can see that being a reason to rush to endgame i suppose. I do enjoy at endgame all playing together.

I think my comment is more directed to the people who literally hate the campaign and just rush to endgame and say there is no content. Kind of makes me chuckle cause they played 20+ hours or so to get to endgame and magically that 20+ hour was not content but just a "slogfest".

IDK i find, even with POE 1, endgame to just be you slamming maps to keep up with inflation of the market. I like the direction they took with POE 2. I hope they stick to the vision just flesh it out a bunch.

because campaign is boring, the league content is also super boring imo during campaign where it takes 10 maps to do it so you barely see it during campaign, i've reached the interlude in 2 day... not trying to rush it or anything it's just boring, playing druid bear... 1st act was fun, act 2-4 was sooooo boring, finally got the skill rampage at the end of act4 which seemed like a pretty cool skill but i was already exhausted from the campaign to appreciate it, i've uninstalled the game already... maybe i would still be playing if i was in endgame already becuase that's what i enjoy personally.

Playing the Campaign feels really really boring. Its just mind numbing tedious work once you done the campaign a couple times.

The Campaign is also easy so its not a challenge where you have to adapt to the situation, but its not that easy that you can watch video/netflix while playing.

Most of the time you just cast the same skills just over and over again. Its like working in a factory doing the same 2 tasks for 8 Hours straight.

I started playing Druid to so i have some variety, but the novelty wore of pretty quick. I fell back to casting 3 different skills all the time to beat everything in the game.
I dont klnow if anyone thinks that is fun, but for me its not. I cant turn of my brian and do things. Thats just not possible i get bored extremely fast especially when its things i already did 10 times. Its the same reason i dont read a book twice or listen to an audiobook twice or play singleplayer games multiple times. Ive seen the game already playing a different class is such a small change, its barely worth mentioning.

campaign is basically maps with quests... not sure what people are complaining about

Maybe try POE 1? You can rush to endgame in like 6 hours. For me that was way to streamlined and fast. Im not a rush to endgame kind of guy. I just play the game to play the game.

But without the juicing for the currency drops, which is what campaign skippers really care about.

You can replace "Campaign" with "Endgame" and it reads the same.

This game is about killing stuff. In both "modes" you're killing stuff.

Then why would they need a new season every four months? Most of the players are not coming back to replay the acts. They want to play the new league. The current problem we have no early crafting for res/life/def. You are forced into playing trade.

Also I have seen a bunch of post of people making their own build and its not working. Now they have to spend even more time trying to farm new skill/support gems. The acts should not be something that hold you back. No one is playing the acts for the content.

The new content is involved in the campaign mode.

Every season you will see people complaining about their builds not working. I've played this game for years now and I've never once had a build not work. Some builds take more fine tuning and struggle to get to work and some just slap right off the bad.

The biggest part of the game is literally building the character and build you want. If those players have to spend time doing it...welp welcome to ARPGs.

For me its simple. Variety.

In the Endgame i can do different things.

I can test many different skills. I can Optimize my Build. I can test new Builds/Test new Ideas.

I can kill some bosses for half an Hour i can run Sekhema or Chaos Trial a bit.

I can do some craft. I can do some more League Mechanics.

Even when you just do maps for some Hours, you always have the option to do other Stuff.

In The Campaign you dont have that Option for over 10 Hours. Its simply the same thing the whole time. And you dont even have a lot of visual changes. Often you stay in one Area for a longer time. Seeing the same stuff.

You can shorten the Campaign by a significant amount by reducing area size further and removing some obsolete areas.

- Spires of Deshar
- Buried Shrine
- Hearth of the Tribe

To name a couple areas which existence makes no sense.

Also in the Campaign you dont really get Items you need later on. Its like a very big tutorial for me. I come to play the Endgame for a couple hundred Hours not play the Campaign of a game over and over again. I know some people do that. Im not such a person i play the campaign of a game once.

I have and the building part of it, the trail and error, the getting stuck and having to respec, and making the build work is the fun part for me.

Clearly you have been playing this for years. It launched last year. The new content is involved in the acts right?? You hardly even notice it or have to go way out of your way to find it. You clearly don't play ARPG's. The crafting is horrible the passive tree is horrible. The only for sure way to fix your res/life/def is through trade.
