Maybe some builds shoud rather spec out of BM... My melee duelist (2-handed swords, build around attack speed) did loose some health (from 3.5k down to 3k), but he got tons of DPS (between 2 and 3k more than i had before). And he seem to have far better mana regen :D (i run him on mana even before)

I only took 2 +30 int nodes and the 3 mana nodes in his starting area. So my current mana leech+regen allows me to spam a 5L double strike as much as i want (i have a bit of mana leech on my gear and i use Warlords mark, despite beeing speced quite heavily into attack speed i can easily sustain my mana with hte curse and even without it i think i would only need about 2% more leech to be without mana issues ever (i can still land some successive hits without WM))

Combining Life leech + mana leech on gear or even on supports, having to play with warlord, having to invest in mana as a BM user ?

All what i am pissed off of doing.
Cuz there is no way to justified the BM Collateral damages done on almost every melee builds.

game is path of life nodes all they did was lower player life, and lower enemy damage.. making no change. no melee buff.

and they lowered everyones life but didnt change the life leech mechanics either.

playing anything but a caster/ranged at this point is just dumb.
To those woh died how much Reduce/Evasion did you had?
you need more armor or eva now, arrmor get huge boost I tested on reaver granite pots

without any armor they still hit hard but with granite they hit 2x less than before and granite is nerfed 4k > 3k so yeah now you need more armor or evasion than hp imho

The problem with all of this is that they didn't take GMP cost into account. I main LA ranger with GMP and Chain, with the reduced DMG (life leech) and less life I basically have an extremely hard time sustaining my life when using GMP.

This patch basically nerfed players and massively buffed mobs even though it was disguised as a monster nerf (less health). It's fucking bullshit.

monster have less hp ? didn't noticed that, didn't also noticed they hit less imho

they said monster dmg will be less in cost of hp/es I still can tank but is harder than before imho, granite flask or molten shell is a must for me now and before it was not nessesery all the time but is still possible to tank now (I have tank build tested before and now)

but yes glass cannons will have hard time now that what I like :D

LA Ranger is not a glasscannon build what the fuck are you on about. It's one of the safest PvE builds out there and if even that build is having troubles you as a developer should know that you fucked up.

I didn't liked this patch when I read patch notes but I think I like it now =P and sorry what im developer ? :D do you see i have orange name or orange post ?

LA ranger is not safest pve build and mostly of them are glass cannons I would say before patch safest was dual spark but ok ...

1) the more +% health you have the more HP/ES you lost. However yo ucannot have lost more than ~20% of your HP after the changes. 20% HP drop would mean 400% increased HP on passives.

2) Enemy damage was dropped ~20-30%. This means armor got a huge boost. Really really huge.

Unless you're talking REALLY carefully balanced stats before the patch most players are going to be considerably tankier. With the exception of players relying heavily on life leech to offset a high cost non-physical damage spell.

This means a couple things...

1) Blood Magic is comparatively bad for non-physical builds.

2) Elemental builds are worse at leech than previously.

These aren't big deals. You can compensate for them. You got a full respec TO compensate for them. Nearly all melee builds received a massive increase in efectiveness with this patch. Just because some builds got nerfed doesn't mean they're unusable. They just need a new approach.

For some "loss" references:

100% Increased HP: Lost 12.5% HP
200% Increased HP: Lost 16.7% HP
300% Increased HP: Lost 19.8% HP
400% Increased HP: Lost 20.0% HP
500% Increased HP: Lost 21.8% HP

Most heavy HP builds have between 200% and 300% increased HP. on the other hand given a 20% reduction in monster damage armor is now proving 24% more eHP.

Also, having auras has always been superior to blood magic passive. Always. Hatred alone is worth a support slot. Hatred + haste? Hells yah.
