Moonsorrow unique wand bugged?

This wand has 10% chance to blind on hit, but I'm using Freeze Pulse with GMP and I can't see the little white twinkle above the monsters heads that indicates they are blinded.

Is it just a graphical error or is the 10% blind chance not being applied? I'd really like someone from GGG to check this out so they can patch it if it is bugged. Thanks.

You need to hit with the actual weapon to get the blind,skills like Power syphon will work.It does support level 5 blind if you put a spell gem in the wand.

Why is it like this? This is inconsistent with all other "chance to do x" items. All other non weapons with chance to do something will work with spells and not just attacks.

If this were the intended way for it to work, then it should be listed like it is for Al Dhih.

Basically, the wand itself has a 10% chance to blind on hit, and additionally, and gems socketed in it benefit from the Blind support gem. It always read clearly to me that it would work the way it does. Which items are you thinking of that are worded as 'on hit' that apply to all outgoing damage?

The wording for such things is very consistent across the board. "On hit" effects only apply to attacks, not spells. A good example is life gain on hit. If you wish to use the "supported by level 5 blind" portion of the wand, the spell must be socketed in the wand itself. It's essentially a fourth link for any skill in the item.

"gems in this item have chance to..." ^_^

If you have a minion gem in this wand, such as zombies, Do they gain the chance to blind when they hit things?

Yes. But only because they're supported by the gem.
