My first Exalt:

I've found 2 only, and both from maps with "Sea Witches and their spawn..." 60% quantity and 30%+Larger Area respectively.

Been playing for about 3 months with only one char. Got 7 exalts and had a Kaom's drop for me in Catacombs map.

Sorry for taking all the RNG.

Found 1 exalt when I was below level 15 in either terraces or some other starting areas. Did not know its worth until I told my friend I have one in my stash when he called me and told me that "I found an exalted orb!" a few days after I found mine. Found a Mirror of Kalandra when I was level 50+(can't remember) in warehouse from a white mob. Did not know what it was until someone offered me 10 ex for it when I did a price check on Global Chat. I was more cautious this time round and did not sell it immediately. I wrote a long article on the trade forum to try to persuade people to buy it but attracted little attention, and whatever little attention that I have attracted was pure ridicule and sobbing/whining. http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/377947/page/1. In the end, I sold it for 35 exalts to one guy to mirror his 1h sword. Kind of regret about it now because the price of a mirror has almost/already doubled. Nevermind, it is just a game :) Found my second exalt while farming in Felshrine when I was level 70+. Again from a white mob...

I've been playing for 5 months now about 15-20 hours a week and still no exault! WTH! Only found about 4 gcp, I've changed iir and iiq as much as i can and still no luck! even with 60% iiq and 240% iir still crap drops and thats before using any iiq/iir gems which I have used both. After chatting with some in global they say with my iir/iiq #'s and time that I get to play I should see about 5 exault a month, thats BS, in a month with good iir/iiq #'s still no exault and only 1 gcp and half dozen chaos! starting to get frustrated with the drops, not even any "good" gear drops just rare trash to vendor!

Seen 3 drop. But I did pick this up the other day from some trash mob

Had 1 drop since OB started. Had about 15 drop in closed beta...

You could get three to five five links in any league with 1 exalt, or 1 really nice one. Heck I got a 5L labrys for a chaos in onslaught yesterday.

And then promptly lost my 1800hp/4 endurance charges 45 mara to a chain of martyrs in cruel western.

Other than being rare, what's the big deal with Exalts? From the description, they only add one rare buff, whereas an alchemy adds like 4 or 5?
