Yes, loosing IIQ gem is the biggest downside to using a 4L. Damage wise, I don't even notice the loss of the Burning Damage gem. I run a legacy Vinktar's so shock is up nearly 100% of the time.

As Yalani stated: Its all about personal preference. I prefer the lazy approach of having 1 mouse click do everything so my left hand only has to manage flasks (with an occasional Vaal Disp).


As for Izaro, Make sure you kill everything in the first 2 fights. I never worried about it in merc labs but I am careful to make sure I do the first two fights properly to make the last fight as easy as possible.

Solo is fine but I usually run with a friend who plays guardian and runs complimenting auras (Determination, Grace, etc..). And yes, Izaro usually dies in 10-12 seconds.

Regen: 1970 regen (with Time of Need I have an effective regen of ~2750)
Curses: Enfeeble on Blasphemy, EW on Curse on Hit
Fortify is up as well.
6 seconds of Vaal Disp (21000 ES)

Potions: Vinktar, 2x Ruby (remove bleed, remove Shock), Sulpher (remove freeze), Rumi's

hi, i read your guide in the past and i came back today wondering how the new changes could affect it.

talking about the trickster with revelation version:
1) what about the new fated shav's boots? 2% es regen on low life seems really nice.
2) now that arcane vision is 2 points closer i was wondering if by saving a few points here and there it could be beneficial to get the devotion cluster in the templar area (with an energy from within jewel) and use a conqueror's potency as well to get to 60% aura effectiveness and squeeze another 1% max res from purity of fire (small benefits from other auras too).
3) do enemies killed with RF count for patient reaper and other on kill effects?

It is possible, but i would not recommend playing this build with Lorica. The problem here is, that unlike other spells where gemlevel and a decent weapon is almost everything you need, RF purely scales with gear and character level. You wont be tanky and your damage will also be low if your equip is bad.

If you want to play RF without spending several Exalted for a Shav + Vertex, you should look for a Lifebased build, since those work pretty well on a lower budget.

They unfortunetly dont have much ES, which makes them a pretty bad choice. I guess its ok if you just reached level 65 and need some additional reg to sustain RF, but certainly not a good option later on.

Not worth it IMO, since you have to give up one of the better ES cluster to get all the points for it + a jewel socket for the efficieny gem. If you l wanna have an easier time with certain map mods, go for it - I personally prefer more ES though.

Yes, it works. Last time I checked, there was a visual only bug, where the extra reg doesnt get displayed correctly in the character tab, so dont get confused by that - it still works :p

RF does not work with on HIT effects like Culling or Penetration though.

I think you should drop that left-side node "Faith and steel".. 3 points free, take jewel slot instead under "Barbarism" only 2 nodes, and insert Eenergy from within = 12% + 10% ES, awesome right? and one point freem you can use it for 15% res point ;)

At the part "Shadow w/ Shavronne's Revelations" you say this:

•113 Dex + 74 Str from the Tree, so you might wanna spent some extra points in 1-2 +30 Str nodes

This must've been from an older build, because your build ends with:
123 Dex + 24 Str.

How many Strength would you recommend for this build? A lvl 20 Increased Duration Support gem would need 111 Strength, would this be worth it?

I do want to invest in this build its just a matter of not yet having the exalts to spend on it and I was wondering if Solaris would be a reasonable stop gap while I farm for shavs. as soon as I can get a shavs I will build this :)

i was considering them as a QoL improvement for no regen maps since it's es regen like the ring and wouldn't be affected, in normal situations i agree on the ES being too low.

yes, i wasn't sure as well. i did the math and getting it would cost 20%ES and 20%EV (valued the jewel needed for efficiency as 12%ES) for 1% max fire res and a bit more juice from other auras, curses and flasks. most likely not worth it and unlike shav's boots that you can switch for hard maps here it's not an option.

While Lori is indeed a kinda underated Item, I don't think it has much place in a build like this, since the unlucky thingy gets more and more irrelevant the greater your EHP is (and this build has a lot of EHP :P). You also loose out on a lot of ES and damage + potential resistances.

This depends on your gear - With my current equip, the Mana nodes are a little bit less efficient than %ES nodes. I do have more Flat ES on my Gear and no Mana whatsoever to Scale though.

It is better if you want more ES, yes. You loose the Flat Armour from the Life nodes and the %Armour from Faith and Steel though. I personally don't play Guardian and the tree is completly theoretical, so I don't know how much of a difference that extra Armour is. Maybe it is better, maybe not - I don't know :P

Keep in mind, that you really need a high leveled Purity of Fire to get started if your gear isn't that good. Vertex is also highly recommended.

Yea, you are right - they may be a nice gearswap option for certain map mods. I didn't tought about that :)
