You guys can dream up all night and day how it doesn't make sense when i say chaos monsters are walk-over.
The reality that you can go and test out yourself is that if you run -60 chaos resistance you will die less than cold/fire/lightning monsters when your res is 20. They really aren't much of a threat. I don't care if there is an occasional boss that is fine, then don't touch the balance of that what is so hard to understand? Playing throughout the game i completely ignore chaos resistance until 70+ maps, and i never die to it. Simple as that there is nothing trixy to this, chaos damage monsters outside of the worst combos imagineable are completely non-threatening unless you play a very weak build that let's them stand there and nuke for extended periods, and even in maps regular elemental damage monsters are much much worse when they have their worst map affixes. Just come out and say you like for chaos resistance to be ignoreable throughout the main game if you like it that way with things all easy. He is afraid the softcores complaining about chaos damage being faceroll will make it harder for his hardcore play, that's why he tries mocking and other troll tactics.

" The thing is you can do everything else in maps with -60 chaos res. My characters usually have -50/-20ish chaos res and I can easily tank gmp alchs. Museum boss is very easy if you lure them slowly or use arctic armor or a skelly totem with blind. I actually agree with OP. I don't think chaos damage needs buffing though, it still does more than elemental damage(outside minus max maps). Chaos resistance is hard enough to get that I think it's balanced. Who talked about glass cannon? And it would actually make it harder to skip defenses, thereby making it harder for glass cannons.
Man sometimes i have this feeling people are fed up at listening to me, they don't know why, they just know they want to resist me even if it means they make their stand at something illogical. Not aimed at you, just overall, people sometimes wanna go against me more because they had enough than because they have a point, i'll bet you 100 dolla dolla at least some of them are doing that.
