Corrupted Items Potential Details Explained

Check that map out, 8 stats on 1 thing, but it is corrupted.

So what does it mean,

Here are what my thoughts about corrupted items:

Possibilities:
1. They cannot be mirrored
Why: so that for a perfect 8 stats item, there will be only 1 owner

2. They cannot be used with Eternal Orb
Why: so that it will be much harder to achieve a perfect 8 stats, which should be a counter act to the current market where tons of perfect 6 items are floating around.

3. Corrupted items could be spawned in:
a. using corrupted orb to transfer a normal item (not magic or rare) into corrupted item
b. spawned as normal drops from mobs
c. after completing certain repeatable quest, you may turn one normal item into corrupted item.

In sum, there are goods and bads about corrupted items, but it will for surely change the current market because there will be even stronger gears around.

Either way sounds good but we need a new orb of something to add a mod to a map instead of an exalted orb. Not many people use exalts on maps and many would never do it. If they would make a low drop but not so rare as an exalted orb that could only be added to maps would be cool.

I like the idea of corrupted items giving more item stats with the trade off of not being able to be mirrored or eternaled. It would renew the economy, be a boon to mappers who want a cheap way to add mods to their maps, and it might possibly make SFL enthusiasts STFU. All around a good change if you are correct.

Depending on the item I think the orb will do different things. Not necessarily give all items 8 stats. This might just be a map exclusive. Look at the other corrupted items, white socket on a wep, light dmg leeched back as life and cast speed implicit instead of phys dmg.

The new orb is going to be roughly the same rarity as a chaos orb. (this was stated)

''Temptation and Sacrifice'' does imply that there is a good and bad side of using one.

Most likely only corrupted maps have the possibility of rolling more than 6 affixes, not gear.
