No sound since the patch

This is aweful I have playing this game for years, no issues.
Now there is not sound, this is a screenshot ingame:

No detected driver, etc. Screnshot here:





Aweful patch. I was waiting like months for this moment, counting the minutes and now cant play because of this issue. Good.


Need help

Sorry about this. This might be to do with the changes to how the game works with Creative sound cards in the patch. Please try running the game with the runtime parameter --softwareaudio and see if that helps your problem. Right click on the shortcut -> Properties then add '--softwareaudio' without apostrophes to the end of the path with a space to separate them.

I was having this same issue. I do not have a sound card just 7.1 integrated into my motherboard. Was going to do as suggested but simply restarting the client allowed it to find the driver and everything is working now.

i am having the same issue - no sound device detected. i am running it off steam and putting that text in set launch options didn't do anything.

any other possible fixes? im surprised many more people are not having this issue honestly

Have you tried --softwareaudio? --nosound should fix this issue as well, but it will leave you with no game sounds

I restarted poe and didnt worked.

I just restarted steam completely and it worked :)

So it looks it is not neccesary to change anything, maybe its a steam related problem or so.

My angry has ended :)

yes, i always got the -swa tag on the .exe and it worked fine for me. Till the new patch..^^

interesting - neither restarting the game or steam or even my computer or doing any of the above options is helping my situation, even after the hotfix.
