Fragment drop + Statistical Info + Graphs
Warframe, a f2p 3rd person co-op shooter, did something similar with their RNG. You need to find 3-4 weapon parts in order to be able to craft the weapon. 2-3 parts were common, one of those was ridiculously rare (less than 1% drop chance). The majority of the player base never made it through the grind for even one weapon until they finally rebalanced that after several months, now it's more like 12% for the hardest to get part. Though in order to get to the mission where the parts dropped you still need to get through another rng wall as you need keys in order to access those missions.
I don't know how low the drop chance of the rarest part is here, but I hope the devs will learn something from other games like Warframe. Make the drop chance too low and people will eventually give up on grinding for that new content and plenty might even burn out from the game completely, I know I and my friends all did with Warframe. |

I know this feeling with warframe ^^
The problem is that SotV dosen't make me want to play the game, quiet the opposite. I was super excited with all the previous leagues. I had a bad feeling about this one. I won't have time to play seriously in the new leagues this time so i decided to stick to standard for 10 ish days before leaving for some monthes to a trip. Right now, i wanna try to beat Atziri at least once. Vaal orbs are a scam i don't want to try, vaal gems are not that usefull for me. Usefull areas to farm are 74+ maps for me, which i can't access because i'm not lucky enough. So i spend my time since the realese of sotv in small lvl 60ish areas. I need to be lucky to find a corrupted area, then be lucky to get a fragment and not my 20 th vaal lightning warp, then maybe one day i'll be SUPER lucky and drop a midnight frag. I'll be able to try the boss, and i'll need luck to get one of the next set of fragment... Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier.

" I don't see how hidding everything behind RNG will help their buisiness tbh, rather the opposite. It's not like they re selling drop rate bossts and shit like this. Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier.

" Path of RNGesus? Aaron Ciccheli, a guy who made millions running Diablo and PoE RMT sites, owns a significant portion of GGG. How's that for a conflict of interest? 7.5% of your supporter pack money goes to this guy.

" RNG supports the economy that GGG say is fundamental to this game. Go buy your missing fragments with in game currency. Don't expect to find them yourself! There has to be a low point where some people stop complaining because it's just not worth it, and I have yet to see it. - Squeakypaw, 2013 Последняя редакция: obadonke#0693. Yeah but someone has to drop it before he can sell it at stupid prices...
And buying access to content is something i refuse but that's an other story. Maker of ZeeL's Amplifier.

The Dusk Shards add 5% more items to maps when you run the mad with the shard in the receptacle together!!!
I can only imagine the more rare shards add more % to the map... PS Thanks for the hints Jonathan :) Последняя редакция: dragmire343#6746. Время: 7 мар. 2014 г., 14:32:34
