Dock Corrupted Zone-Stagnant canal

Did it with a character with Spectral Throw only linked to Added Fire Damage in Normal Docks.

Yeah, it's somewhat ridiculous but more doable than others. Time consuming is what it is considering it's barely visible and runs away a lot. If your AoE DPS is bad, you should probably skip it. If you have no real AoE, you're boned.
I love how people complain when completely new bosses are put in place and people are still figuring them out. But before they do that they blame GGG for putting in new content after complaining that the old content needs updates. Love it.

Well the easiest solution is Vaal Detonate Dead. There are so many bodies on the ground it kills the enemy instantly. Actually I'm beating all corrupted bosses that way just for fun. Kill every enemy in the area at exactly the same place and kill them there. In the covered up hollows in Merciless I had about 80 or so bodies in one place and a single cast of Vaal Detonate Dead with Fire-Pen and Conc. Effect killed the Weaver (to be fair it killed me before... I didn't expect how dangerous a barrage of 5 EK-Casts are for an evasion-ranger^^).

I didn't skill anything to make Detonate Dead more powerful. It only takes up a single slot (I rearranged the supports later, since you can move Vaal-Gems around without losing souls).

It is very time-consuming to be fair but it is also fun. Most of the bosses are really fun. The only one I had no chance of beating was the Desecrate/Summon Zombie-guy. His desecrate killed me in seconds... not to mention the detonate dead. It is propably a bit easier later with more Chaos-Resist but with -60% when I encountered him the first time at the start of Act II Merciless he killed me bevor I could move out of desecrate.

My point was never that the fight is impossible, never said that it was. Being like "I did this, so there are no problems with the fight" is akin so saying "I didn't get cancer from smoking, so obviously noone gets cancer from smoking." (No I don't know if you smoke or not, and I do not care)


What I am saying, is that the fight has technical issues that makes it neigh unplayable for some builds.

EDIT:

There are other corrupted areas bosses who have similar issues. Like the large goat guy who does firetrap, molten shell (I think) and leap strike, he'll life steal from the damage done by the fire trap ground-effect.
The problem is, this is not apparent at all (I only found by by accident). Now, not knowing you shouldn't stand in the fire is a l2p issue I admit this. However, since the client and server doesn't always agree where you are, there are situations where on the server you're in the fire and on your client you're not.

So what do you experience in that situation? You see yourself running away from the fire, see yourself taking damage and then suddenly the goat guy is back on full HP.
It just seems some of the mechanics of these new bosses are way more desync prone than existing bosses. It can be fixed, since they're unique cases, kinda like they did with Brutus. Anyone remember his amazing desyncing hook?

there are encounters that are hard for most builds... what is easy flr my build can be hard for yojrs and vis versa
As I promised, here's a video of a Merciless Stagnant Canal run. I purposely let the snake boss multiply for a minute or two, and then went in to kill them. Skip to 4:20 for the actual "fight". Coincidentally, a Midnight shard also dropped from the vessel, so that's nice.

This snake is one of the easiest bosses. He doesn't do any damage, there's not even any risk of dying.
