The only lololol part is that you seem to think that someone would RTM exalts - buy hundreds GCPs - and then sell them. What exactly is the point here? Exalt laundering?

How is buying GCP for 1:1 then selling for 1.5:1 not much profit?


you do realize that's a 50% profit, which is huge.

Regardless of how small the actual amount of currency gained in a single conversion is, over a thousand conversions it's huge. 50% is HUGE

in each case of big scams the less obvious the scam the bigger the results

Yeah, exalteds arent the only currency farmed by bots... So, inevitably, they will offer other currencies as well. That guy probably bought bulk of GCPs.

There is already a GCP recipe lol:

vendor a quality 20 gem or enough quality gems to obtain 40% quality. It's just like armourer scrap, wetstones and glassblowers

He probably buys them 1:1 chaos and then sells for more like any flipper. I really don't think there is a recipe granting 20+ GCPs a day

I use that recipe regularly and I still don't even have a single full stack of GCPs in Ambush. I've yet to receive a GCP in Ambush through trade though. Most of my GCPs are from Artisan boxes.

On Standard maybe, but not on Invasion. Bots aren't even properly working there atm.

first off it can't be botting.
even botters need to deal with the actual in game drop rate, they just bot play. they don't have a way to make things drop more often so amassing so many GCPs per day would not be possible by one person from regular drop rates, period.

it is either RMT or legit new recipe in order to gain so many GCPs. i don't see another way you could amass so many. even flipping, the GCP has to come from normal drops still and i don't think you could gather that many daily due to some other factors.

if it is a recipe thing, think about it (not sure on prices on invasion) but you could buy a lvl 20 or q20 gem for 10ish gcp on standard, use the recipe and get 20 gcp (if your theories and assumptions are correct). rinse and repeat and kablamo gcp's would be falling from the sky pretty quickly.
not only would you be buying gcp but you'd be buying all quality gems up. which to be honest i've seen people doing in trade chat, buying all quality gems 5-15% in bulk so there could be some merit to this theory.

Corrupted gems don't work with some recipes that require a normal gem, so that could be why this is failing. You should try with a non-corrupted gem too.

Noted. When I get something leveled back to 20 I'll try again.
