real story about RNG.

So, lets start with that. I'm playing PoE since open beta. Playing it 850h via steam and around 200h with non steam acc. http://prntscr.com/3whv0i Best drop so far is alfa howl. And it was in old league. So long time ago. Had droped 2 eternals, 3 exalts. It's not that bad considering other people luck/ non existent luck.


But the real problem is our BUDDY, who just ruined our desire to play this game.

Lets see some numbers.

He is playing like week or a bit more.

1 eternal
5 or 6 exalts
Its only low roll on hes luck.

Dropped random 6S in 69 lvl map. Use 1 fuse got 6l. OK, balanced
Doing 3 man 74 lvl map, drops 6link for him.
He is doing solo lvl 73,74,75 maps and drops 2x Andvarius, Gold Ring in like 1 hour. Balanced

2x tornady wand unique,
A, lot of other uniques who can be sold for exalts.


And best part was today.

Gave him 1s Cloak of Defiance, Lacquered Garb because he need for new build. Use less then 30 jew for 6s, 17 fuse for 6L.


So in a week he got drop for more then 50+ ex and im still grinding my ass of and got nothing!? How dumb is to see that...

You're not alone, mate. Lots of people feel that way. But their posts usually get tucked away to preserve the game's image.

I've given up on this aspect. Shit will not drop for me in form of currency or high end uniques/rares. 2 years of playing, mostly end game maps - and "nothing" -> a couple of extalts and 1 eternal.

It's sad as hell, but that's the kind of game GGG wants to play/make.

Apparently, the game was much better in closed beta. But then they nerfed nearly everything and hadn't calculated with the player amounts. So desync and permanent famine mode were enabled.
Now they won't or can't solve it.

Let's do some trolling rolling.

It is known and a lot of solid old-players have left because of it.

Other who i have known on the forums for a long time, where defending it in one league (when they had good rng) and shitting on it or at least admitting to me they where wrong, the next league.

And this is why any competitive side of PoE is laughable to me. Be it ladder/pvp/races whatever you fancy.

Put 2 people with the same wisdom/skill level and whatever you can think of.

Give one bad rng and the other good rng and the outcome is clear.

That's partially why i stopped considering this game for some competition and instead just utilize it to theory-craft and challenge myself or simply have fun chilling.

Even the community stayed the same,
only the forum went down the shitter.

Honestly, RNG makes this game about as hardcore as Heartstone. And heartstone gives more return on time investment.
So maybe HS is more hardcore than poe? With better servers :p
