real story about RNG.
RNG is RNG. In domination I could not get anything good to drop or make any currency.
Now in ambush(also had some more intel on how to make currency) I have about 200ex worth of gear/currency. Its all about RNG going your way or making sure you create your own RNG. At some point things need to turn for you which will. |

If you don´t enjoy RNG then go play another game!
Many people enjoy the game, me included, because of the RNG and the thrill of the Jackpot drop. Maybe go and learn something about probabilities. I always get the impression that people who complain about RNG don´t understand the mathematical concept behind it. |

Some people can't see the good sides of RNGs.
There's also the possibility to have the best outcome several times! |

" Agreed, but even in life there are things that are better off without RNG. Imagine, at your wedding day, your wife would be chosen randomly and you could remove the veil only AFTER you actually marry her. So, I totally agree - this kind of game IS about RNG. But. Too much is too much. Atziri triple RNG fest just to access that content is a prime example for me - I would even say that in this case, GGG failed to come up with something better, so they just rushed the RNG gate solution. Then, after many tears were shed, they at least boosted the RNG chance to drop fragments a few times. Then, they allowed the common fragments to be used - tradaaa - as a new RNG ticket. I like RNG, but too much is too much |

" Could you provide us with some examples of those "many people"? And sounds like those "many people" should consult with a specialist about a developing gambling addiction ;) And please do explain, how learning about probabilities would enhance one's chance for good drops? RNG is what it says it is - random number generator. It's like rolling a dice - you can't predict the outcome for every roll. Yes, you could calculate the chance of "rolling" a certain number (a number representing an abstract value that gets you the "Jackpot" drop), if you had access to drop-rate tables and their RNG mechanics, which you don't. That still wouldn't help you at all, since RNG doesn't really care about you. |

Poeple speculating about something that was confirmed to be improoved somehow (linking items in particular).
I have 6L 1 item in my over 1K hours of gameplay. Do I complain? No. Just because others get more and some are extremly lucky doesn't mean that I will be comlaining about it. THat's just how it works. SOme farm for a year to finally get their dream build working, some can do it in a month or a week. RNG is RNG, don't let the lucky ones spoil the game you enjoy for you and wait for the upcoming changes. kiwi nation

" This was HC too :) When i just started out with the game - This was at the ending of previous leagues. The 10 exas is still sitting in HC lol. But I might even be able to find the ring in my post history. Anyways On-topic, I think its just as much about knowing the usage, and therefore the value of things, to "loot" something good. I bet a lot of people complaining about drops, have vendored or at least underpriced/sold a lot of items. I have never looted a high end unique, but i allways have currency to spend and to reroll when I fuck up and rip! |

" That's the problem right there. After 2 years of playing, ~2000 hours of game time - doing end game maps, MF Piety and Dominus runs - the jackpot (Good, level appropriate rare/unique) still hasn't dropped. So the thrill you're talking about isn't there anymore. I know I'm not going to find it. (And by "it" I do not mean Shavs or Kaoms - I mean a rare item that is an upgrade to my high level characters. I went 5-6 years in D2 without finding the best uniques, and that is OK. But rare upgrades here and there? Sad, in my eyes). Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

I have been playing for about one year. I took a break for Dark Souls 2, RoS, a little torchlight 2, that's about it. On poestats you can see that I play a lot, so just imagine around a year of that much playing. I have never found an eternal.
