With resists, I died from Piety over half of my deaths in the ENTIRE playthrough on my ranger.
I ate through about 30+ ports, too. And I even had potions that could heal me 100% of my max life over a short duration. You know what? I couldn't be happier. I LOVED it. I was laughing the whole time. I'd walk into the room from the portal and instantly worry, "Will I get 2shot this time." or "Can I be fast enough to spot the portals before she switches." and all other variables. GGG, you made my favorite game of all time. The only thing you're lacking is throwing weapons, earth spells, and Ice/Lightning armor. Go go go. |

From my experience fighting Piety in normal solo, I learned its probably best to kill with a team instead. And I'm a summoner witch. o.o
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish. |

Can you stop her from using the portals? I just strait face tanked her.

I found her to be very easy, but you need to know two things:
1) pillars counter ice volley 2) running directly away from fire makes her unable to strike you |

You can...
Kill the portals. I found taking out the fire portals was the best bet. I'm unsure how she determines which portals to go to, but it looks - quite simply - like a proximity thing. Kite her a bit so that she's away from the ports, and then knock out the fire ports. Use the pillars to hide from the ranged frostyness. PROFIT! MOAR PANTS, because every good game needs a pointless meme.

She got me too. First play through ever, hardcore, solo. Was facerolling all along the way. Was fighting her for like 3 minutes and doing fine. Then i got to sure of myself and tried to start lobbing 2 arrows per pivot instead of 1. BAM!!!! I am in default.

Vaal was much harder for me in all difficulties. Piety is just a long, drawn out fight. I actually find the fight where you face off against her for the first time much harder (Lost in Love).
