Where did you read someone ridiculing the OP? This turned into a D3 thread pretty fast. And discussed difficulty in other games.

It's clique. And honestly, quite a few of the ardent defenders have changed their tune over the last year.

^^ I am the OP, and I enjoyed the responses in this thread. I think its cool to compare similar games and talk about what is great about each. At this point in time, I feel like D3 has adopted so much from POE, and that POE could come full circle and soak up some wisdom from Blizz regarding game balance and player experience.

I'm just realizing this to be honest, although I didn't play the entire last league. That being said, back in August of last year I noticed certain supporters with more pull and certain streamers were being buffed at least in recognition (now I have concerns about drop rates as well, good advertising is good business).

Clique is the perfect single word to describe it's current state. I use the image of the fabled 300 that slaughter 1 million, but clique is a more confined answer.

I am curious though to read what some have come to see as well, especially when they couldn't or wouldn't see it. By looking around, it doesn't seem a lot of people are picking up on this.

I don't know and it may sound sorta overly meta... but wouldn't cliche sorta fit when talking about a stereotypical clique :)
