This has two interpretations. Either TWWT never goes core in any way, or it does, in some short of loot from a new boss or something. Can we get a clarification?

The fact charms will be deleted is a loss overall. They could be disabled by simply removing wildwood ascendancies, becoming memorable items, after all, GGG clearly doesn't mind there being hundreds of tabs of remove only stuff on standard, so having the charms in standard without their use case should really not affect anyone.
Meantime, people would still keep their "high value" charms even as meme items.
It's a bit sad that the charms get essentially voided, since Affliction was really interesting experience for a league, in that amazing loot wasn't locked behind some gear or dps check like Crucible or Kallandra league, it was available for anyone that bothered to learn about the mechanics of wildwood.
Can't help but wonder just how different the experience will be with Necropolis.

L, figured charms etc would be like tattoos... make no sense spectres are not in the lot also thrown to the void
