What is an Exalted Orb? :)

3 comes from drop and 3 because of a lucky andvarius drop some time ago.

My record on the 83 I have is something like 1 Regal, maybe 6-10 GCPs or so, maybe 10-15 Chaoses, 2 Blessed or so. Never even saw anything above this dropping, not even in parties. I once saw another Regal, but it didn't drop for me. I did get some GCPs and 2 Exalts from trades. Back then 1 Exalt was 5 GCPs. Pretty dumb of me to sell one of the 5Ls I've found for GCPs instead of an Exalt, eh? :)

no joke or sarcasm. prices are very real, and based on a spammer site my Browser blocked twice.

if I hadn't known better, I could have sworn GGG are getting a cut of the profits. this is fucking ridiculous!
and if they did, well then at least they'd have the decency give Diamond Supporters 50 Exalts or 2 Mirrors. those very, very few supporters they'd have left, that is.

Found one on The Ledge in merciless with my Ranger. Yes, they seem to be rare, as are GCPs and Regals. Can't complain too much about the others, though.

Since many people like to compare the game to D2. SoJs were pretty much what an Exalted Orb is in PoE. I played D2 from 2001 until last year, with some, but not too many and too long pauses in between. Never found one single SoJ, nor the majority of elite unique items or sets. So I for one can't complain too much about the loot dropping. It's a bit awkward when a rare or unique monster does not drop anything or only white stuff, granted, but that's about the only thing so far that worries me.

see, the "find" part is the problematic one.
I'd rather work my ass off in the real world, and earn those $1500. 100% chance, not one in a million.

This whole system is a little bit broken... Currency drop (not only of the exalted orbs) is very low, crafting is insane lottery because of how these orbs work. Also it's the same in entire game, what makes it just totally stupid, because at higher levels you have bigger need. Anyway, currency drop rate should be exponential, and reach it's peak at lvl 77 zone. Trading stuff should be optional, but now it's necessity - you buy some average gear you can afford. Nothing special but you get what you want, not some useless shit made by crafting and having wasted currency..

In the end - I don't see much difference from D3, PoE also prioritize trading over crafting, this is the biggest disappointment in this game. Devs should encourage for crafting with these weekly patches, but instead, they've added some useless affixes to make crafting even worse and harder to get desired affixes.. I just don't get it, truly, it makes absolutely no sense.. No wonder people quit - they are just sick of this bullshit.

You cannot compare PoE currency to D2 because D2 valuable items were duped as hell and nobody knows their real value.
Actually you could find many Soj's if you know where to farm them.
