Havent found exalt since alpha (got only one Divine, and several GCP), and have over 15 days playtime (lots of them spent in the trade chat, when I relax from fighting)...

I have wasted 2 exas already, currently have 4 (all bought or traded), 53 chaos, 62 alch and probably about 10 more ex in different currency... Get your Rarity & Quality gear and do what the game requires you to do! I know I'm faaaar away from the really rich people in the game, but I must be able to get good enough gear for the higher level maps...

Gearboxes, when they don't work properly "grind" it's a sign they need fixing or replacing.

Gears, when in motion and working correctly could be said to "grind" together causing their machinery to work

bump and "grind" is a type of dancing with a provocative nature which involves rubbing yourself off a partner.

Now lets accept that their name, could also mean they're big car fans, fans of dirty dancing or that they like things that work mechanically and instead stop taking their NAME out of context and adding it into the f**king equation...

The term of "grind" used in MMO games, is the act of grinding away at something akin to using a grinding STONE. you make slow progress and it's incredibly dull and boring often you don't continue the endeavor for very long before the grind becomes too much and you walk away, after all in the end the reward for completing the grind is subjective.

Since many people like to compare the game to D2. SoJs were pretty much what an Exalted Orb is in PoE. I played D2 from 2001 until last year, with some, but not too many and too long pauses in between. Never found one single SoJ, nor the majority of elite unique items or sets. So I for one can't complain too much about the loot dropping. It's a bit awkward when a rare or unique monster does not drop anything or only white stuff, granted, but that's about the only thing so far that worries me.

D2's economy was honestly supported by duping. No lie. About 2 or 3 months into every ladder system, the big trading sites would dupe the crap out of currency items, flood the market, and make everything [relatively] accessible. So if you sunk a few hundred hours into d2, you could reasonably get a complete set of nice gear.

You could sink a few hundred hours into PoE and not find anything. GGG tries to make a new D2, but they don't seem to understand the market forces that made D2 work.

I'm getting a little sick of the "they're called GGG" non sequitur; I guess Square fucked up then, considering their well known series is called "Final Fantasy", and yet there's over a dozen of them. My name in real life is Richard, which means "strong brave ruler", yet I'm certainly no ruler, and strong and brave are debatable. Stop goddamn using their name as springboard for bullshit arguments, thanks.
