Alt-f4 should be disabled from the game.

So, after playing since open beta launch I just recently found out that.

If you hit alt-f4 you are safely logged out no matter the ongoing situation.

You can be having a hard time with mobs, and you just hit alt-f4, relog and you're back into safeyness town as it nothing happened.


This attempts to the integrity of the game. And i am concerned and heavily against this policy.

GGG need to change this.

Make a penalty of 1 to 3 mins. after clicking alt-f4, your character will remain there for 1-3 mins. If you are in a mob zone. Only safe places to alt-f4 would be the towns.


I, myself, don't ever use alt-f4. I'd rather take the death as a man. And I do.

I feel using this (altf4 thing) is no worse than cheating. and it's pointless.


I'm not talking just about hardcore league either. Am talking in general. anyone using this to their advantage plain suck. I'm sorry, i don't mean to be disrespectful. it's probably not your fault.

I urge GGG to change this policy. Whats the point of the game if you can just altf4 ?

and yes i call it exploting cuz even tho GGG is aware of this. this is considered cheating 100% in my book.

I don't usually play on HC since all my nice little trinkets are in Default and at the moment my level 55 orb farmer is on the ledge, dying, to stay at that level. Though I will be participating in the Onslaught Challenge.

thing is,if they put a delay on alt+f4,it will probably also put a delay when you DC because of a crash etc.this mean,even ppl that play without alt+f4 will be penalized since they will die if game crash....also,most dont use alt+f4 and just quick exit the game that usualy work better then alt+f4.exit is 100% instant but alt+f4 can have few sec delay

overall,who care if they do that or not...if you play standar,it wont affect you at all if ppl on HC use alt+f4...and if you play HC...well do like everyone else and use it.

It's not about being tough. Takes a certain mentality, discipline, personality to play, live, die, and then go again, in HC mode AND enjoy it. (some pple call it being psychotic, masochistic, etc. etc.)

The OP's post is a screaming example of the opposite of someone who would, or should I say, could, enjoy hardcore.

On that note why dies it bother you? I've seen plenty of ppl alf4ing in scrubcore to avoid the zomg XP penalty on death.

I've mapped quite a bit in both leagues.

I don't alt-f4 ever, but even if I did, I wouldn't need your respect to enjoy hardcore.
