Alt-f4 should be disabled from the game.

I wouldn't mind a 5-10 second log out delay if they could pull it off without a hitch. They would have to put in a pause game feature if playing solo though. I wont play a game I can't quit if the phone rings or the cat throws up.

I remember watching Chris's interview on Kripps stream. He spent a good amount of time going on about wanting the game to be "hardcore", and "punishing".

Then he was asked about people just leaving the game or alt-f4ing to not die, and he had no issue with it.

Confusing to me. Is the game punishing or not? If theres multiple ways to avoid death easily, how can that be hardcore and punishing?

I would also agree that it ruins the "integrity" of hardcore races/leagues. Knowing that someone who won or is near the top left/altf4 even once doesn't remotely impress me, and seems to defeat the purpose.

the amount of altf4 should be tracked just like how often standard players die. it should be fully visible in ladder how often someone had to altf4. that will take the respect to those who deserve it.

I've been wondering lately, softcore players who try to get even with the hardcores by saying altf4 league and such also have the option to alt f4 to espcape death, yet they still rack up deaths like mad, just a thought for lols

I considered the idea that if you are on hardcore and leave the game in any way at ~10% health, a star would be put next to your name as long as you're on that league. That would only cause more hostility though.

Ultimately I think its really just up to the devs and if they want the game to actually be punishing or not. In its current form, the game is not remotely the way Chris suggested he wanted it to be.

Unless altf4 has been changed since then, it absolutely does work, as I've used it myself successfully.

Aside from that, the altf4 issue is the same as leaving the game. The issue people have is that you can in one way or another, leave game to avoid death.

Also, typically, asking for proof via screenshots negates anything you are saying, and causes a good number of people to not take you seriously.
