Tempest Shield… The least used skill?

Does anyone actually use tempest shield? I’ve tried it on a few characters when I started but I have never used it past level 30. The amount of damage/survivability is not worth the 25% mana reservation. I know that you can support it with increase lightning damage but it still feels too costly for what you get.

I think they should look at the skill and make it more desirable for shield users. Maybe the caster could gain 1-5 energy shield points for each attack blocked.

I'm pretty sure you're suppose to stack block on that along with support gems. Or you can just use it as just another aura. And there's like a Tempest Shield build that people use floating around in the forum somewhere.

And I'm pretty sure they can do that already with Aegis Aurora

At least you can build around Tempest Shield. We've still got Arc and Shock Nova being relegated to niche support builds.

Ofc there are builds using Tempest. It's really hard to get 75% block chance with tree only, usually you got around 70% from tree, so 4% addition to 71% is 14% damage reduction. Especially with aegis aurora its very good.

Anyone use detonate dead ? or conversion trap ?

I use conversion trap to troll people in public parties. It's funny watching everyone trying to hit converted monster and asking "WTF? another bug?"

And it's actually useful to convert aura rares.

I believe Frost Wall is used even less. If only it lasted 10x longer or froze enemies if they touched it.

Once there was a freak explaining how detonate could easily reach up to 100K dmg.And how underestimated skill it was.Lol.
