Map Mods: Stasis / Hemomancy need to be removed
" Great point and I would expand it to condemn map mods that violate the integrity of a character's build. Curses and other debilitating afflictions are legitimate challenges, but imposing Blood Magic on you is an act of sabotage. This mod does nothing but make the map unplayable for any build that doesn't already use BM. |

" Hemomancy is the only mode that just ruins builds = CI builds. Everything else can play it, but at the cost of auras or a big chunk of their life more-or-less. CI and BM are two keystone that having strictly nothing to do with eachother. Now what do you call a "CI map mode" ??? you talking about stasis ? How is that related to CI ? It isn't. It has nothing to do with CI, and it has nothing to do with BM either. swap a gem to use leech or use potions, and there you go, you can run it. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

"I disagree with that last point, it only really makes it unplayable for CI builds; anything life-based can handle a BM map (just consider it a "no Aura" affix). Nevertheless, that's enough to disqualify BM as a map mod. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted. Последняя редакция: ScrotieMcB#2697. Make it taking ES instead of life for CI builds with a 200% cost ( or 200%extra cost ), and there it would be playable by everyone.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

"Or just cut to the chase and change the mod to "Player skills reserve Life instead of Mana." The key word there, reserve, would make it skills wouldn't cost life unless they're reservations. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

That would make auras completely unusable by CI users whereas life users could still use one ( not sure if they'd choose too ).
And that would be another buff to shavronne's wrappings ><. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

"So? The point is that it would be the minimalist change. The mod would now be CI viable (just no auras). I am of the belief that no map mod should disqualify a build completely from running the map. I am not of the belief that map mods should not be build-dependent. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" I agree. I hope they do not think of doing something like adding a mod of "monsters ignore armor" or "monsters have RT" And if you close your eyes, does it feel like your exalt almost hit this time~

" I definitely agree with that. But actually, I have yet to roll a single BM map with my ranger, I'm really wondering if there isn't a check on "does the player rolling has CI ?". That's not good for group play though, but group play in this game ........... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

"BM is the rarest map affix. This doesn't make it less unfair, but it does make it occur a lot less often.
