"This loot system is flawed and needs to change!!"
" So you prefered full-FFA, we prefer instanced. Maybe hate was a too strong word. " Then put it in it's own league and we see what happens. The game is still in beta, GGG could experiment with instanced loot. If you have instanced loot in it's own league you could reduce the magic-find bonus for grouping for instance. " I think you're kinda missing my point. :\ This community is split in half and as you said, one side has already budged (and they're not happy about it judging by them popping into these threads to tell 'casuals' to get out) and neither people are happy about it. As it currently stands right now, you can't have one or the other without the opposite team being upset with the decision. Why can't we have one and the other? You've already seen firsthand how people feel about loot distribution (both pro and anti FFA), ignoring the problem is only going to cause the community to continue lashing at each other until this forum has become nothing more than a battlefield between casual and hardcore. " If there's one other touchy subject that incites more flame wars besides battles between hardcore and casual players, its how to handle the ingame economy. Instanced loot is a terrible idea for that reason that both parties would be unhappy with. If loot doesn't remain evenly distributed (if we go with instanced loot), there would be a huge influx of items and currency and the economy would inflate exponentially. Instanced loot in Default league. "Wait, what did I just drink?" - Socrates

" I don't get it. How would a new seperate league with instanced loot destroy the economy of the default league? And you already have instanced loot if you play solo. Just decrease the magic-find bonus for grouping for the instanced-loot-league, if you're concerned for the economy. I beat cruel, ruthless and merciless and all I got were some maps.

" Sure if you let an idiot design and program it. Let's see if I can solve this issue in 5 seconds of thought.... Yes! Have EXACTLY the same loot drop as would have dropped in the current system anyway, but randomly divide it among the players as personal loot. Seriously, where did anyone suggest that instanced loot should mean MORE loot. Stop twisting things. Did you know level 91 is the halfway point to level 100? This means that a softcore character dying ONCE at level 85+ can lose many days of progress. Последняя редакция: GhostlightX#1022. Время: 30 янв. 2013 г., 14:34:52

" I'm all in support of a separate temporary league to experiment how instanced loot would function so long as characters and stash get wiped and transferred to default league when its over. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

" But why? Why not just have everyone keep up to get loot and then no has to worry about unfair kicks, or kicks right after boss fights etc. |

" I think what this is about is - don't keep fighting mobs when something for you drops, and you notice someone else hanging back to collect. Go get your friggin loot if you want it. This is hard? Suggestion from another thread: When someone grabs "your" loot - they get PvP flagged. The "owner" of said loot then has to decide if it's worth fighting for. Preserves the original intention of the loot mechanics, places the responsibility for loot squarely on who it belongs to, and provides a penalty for the so-called "ninja's". IMO - this should be immediately implemented, then at least people would have something to whine about, as well as an idea of what this game is truly about. This is NOT WoW. Nor D3. Nor Farmville with weapons. I'll say this again also - Just because a game doesn't suit you does NOT mean said game needs to change. Move on or adapt. In other games - you get a cookie whether you win or lose. PoE not only takes your cookie and eats it in front of you, it slaps you upside the head a few times for bringing a cookie in the first place.
