Since installing, I am unable to play, as I consistently receive the "Disconnected from Patching Server before Patching Completed" message after starting the game. After some searching I came across several "solutions", which I have so far attempted to no avail: 1. Add --patching-server pathofexile.com:3724 to Target in PoE shortcut to attempt a different patch port. 2. Run As Administrator 3. Disable Antivirus and Firewall software 4. Uninstall and Reinstall game client 5. Check outgoing and incoming ports using NETSTAT -p tcp -ano from command prompt 6. All of the above simultaneously It doesn't matter what I've tried, I am unable to connect to the patch server and continue to receive the same message over and over after a short period of time. Please help! EDIT: This problem seems to have resolved itself after multiple repeated attempts. Try Using the original .exe file in the GGG folder in your program files. Same problem on my wife's computer here, she bought a new one,because the oldest was too shitty (but it worked). We share the same internet (we live togheter) and she has this error when she tried to install. We tried anything that was suggest in the post, then she used the connection from his android (just for see if she has this error) and i started to download!!! Hey guys, new player here installing the game for the first time on Win 10 having the same problem. Read all your posts, tried some of them. In the end, just keep installing the game several times worked by itself in the end. Who knows why :) I think I tried about 7x. Good luck. I am returning to the game and running a fresh install. when I run it the patch notes load in,but before the download/installation happens I get the message "unable to connect to patching server" I have tried all of the suggestions on this thread apart from replacing the exe file(the link to it is no longer valid). Got a new PC and this issue plagued me. Tried everything I could find by googling. Then it struck me GGG also put out a torrent for the new expansion Betrayal https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2256295 Whilst I downloaded that and unpacked it in my PoE location I could start poe and the download worked without issue. So I was playing fine this morning. Now I have this error and cannot patch. So what exactly is the problem because my laptop was obviously able to play fine before this patch. I will add that I switched from the Washington to California server this morning as I recently came to Phoenix for vacation. Could the game be confused and trying to patch from Washington but is set on California? EDIT: Ok, fixed by ending the KillerNetworkService.exe process on my MSI laptop.
