At what level will my gems hit lvl 20?

I did the math here; between 85 and 92 depending on how much xp penalty you experience.
I find that doing you favourite farming area is the way fastest method for leveling gems. Besides you can level more gems at once than doing high-level maps etc. as you probably won't need IC, EC, CwDT and other defensive buffs. More often than not, I actually use non lvl 20 gems on my hero even if I have the lvl 20 version somewhere.
What does it really matter if I have Lvl 18 or 19 or 20 Hatred? 300-600 DpS? That way I can sell more gems for more chaos orbs, as it seems to heavily influence the price of a gem if it is 18 or 20. I mean from now on day I hit 68 I'm just buying 20/20s as applicable. I choose not to, but you can level gems on a secondary character. If you have a full stable of characters, while working on one of them you can place other gems in unused spots. Gems even level if on your alternate weapon slots.
Eventually you realize that character levels aren't all that meaningful, but gem levels are. |

My experience on invasion was 89-90 to make all my gems pop 20. This was based on not dying obviously, and running mostly 73-74 maps - sometimes running higher when we had luck finding them or could afford the map fees.

my gems did not hit 20 until after i hit 92. i was mapping a lot. |

" If you are going to do this get a weapon with +1 gem level and Enlighten. At least if you are doing this for an active gem. |
