At what level will my gems hit lvl 20?

Honestly I think gem leveling is fine and one of the only ways in the game to guarantee some income with time invested. If they reduced the exp needed the values would drop considerably.

Yes, I agree that the current rate is fine.


If you're a casual player or don't care about getting all perfect gems, then you need one set leveled to 20/20, period. The current exp requirement imo is not unreasonable to "finish" your gems in such a fashion.



If you're a serious player aiming at truly perfect gems (21/20, 20/23 for the ones where the quality matters more, just lvl21 for auras) then I think it also works out correct - it's a pretty serious commitment to finish your gems to perfection for real and the time needed reflects that. (as do those gems resale value assuming the Vaal orb favors you if that's your goal with a gem)


I think the current system does a good job of allowing players that put in less time to achieve finished gems, while also allowing huge upside for dedicated players who want room for improvement in their gems past leveling a single set all the way to 20/20/

I dont think it's even worth using. You get a slight boost, sure, but without it you'll level 6 gems instead of 5.

I dont think it's even worth using. You get a slight boost, sure, but without it you'll level 6 gems instead of 5.

Yes it can be tough to justify the use of it - if even one of the gems in your offhand 6l isn't an active gem, then it's not worth it for sure, and even if they are it's often just better to level a 6th gem.

I guess if you were just rushing some gems to 20 as fast as possible (rather than wanting max total exp gain) then it would be worth it in that kind of situation.

I just recently hit 85 and a bunch of my gems have recently popped 20
