hey since 3.4 introduced the changes to flame dash with the cooldown recovery speed, do any of you think it might just be better to run flame dash with faster casting leaving out shield charge?

Yes. I'm running flame dash with no links. No shield charge (I don't want to have to deal with the dex requirement on ssf). Flame dash at high levels feels really nice and can almost be spammed.

Fortify is really nice, and unless you crash into walls all the time Shield Charge still feels better movement. Also just take 1 point and put it into Agility, brings you up to 104 dex just from the passives. On that note, Mana Leech/Hypothermia/Blind all have the same dex requirements as Faster Attack Support.

I just never have liked the idea of a caster charging into melee range. It feels weird. Flame dash fits my style of play better.
What do you do for bandits?

I don't personally like shield charge for the fact you can't go over walls/gaps.

flame dash allows for this, which makes moving in tight spaces much easier. I don't like the 3 charge limit though, and the regen on the charges seems slow.
is there any good solution what to do after 101 skill point? cant see it in the guide.

WgCdr_Enriquez pretty much covered why we don't use Crackling Speed. And Heralds are just bad for us. Only Herald of Thunder would do anything with this build in the first place, and the little damage it adds is not worth the reservation cost. This cost even goes up when using Essence Worm, which we want to do for endgame where we also need all the mana we can get.

Even with Mastermind of Discord this wouldn't change. It's just not worth sacrificing half your Ascendancy for just 25% penetration in a single-element build, when there's better choices available.

All I can say is give it a try, it will be better than regular chests for sure. Use the formula in guide to calculate just how much damage you lose from missing shock effect.

Played it to maps in Flashback Incursion HC, had no issues. New setup should work even better. Maybe someone using this in HC right now can give more feedback.

I still think Shield Charge is the overall better movement skill, but that's down to preference. The Fortify really helps in Delves and it's impossible not to proc it in those narrow spaces.
