Why is the Old Guard on probation?

There are many influential forumers on probation at the moment. Let's call them the
Old Guard so that we can avoid name and shaming. Anyone knows why? Also, am I the only guy around here that hasn't been put on probation? I've been around for a long time :P http://slysherz.blogspot.com

The forum rules apply to everyone. Old and new alike.
This 'old guard' you speak of OP may be made up of people who are passionate about the game, and so defend their views passionately. Sometimes people who are passionate step over lines without intent or malice. All in all, The PoE forums provide a lot of leeway in what is allowed. It has provided opportunity for open discussion more than you may see in other places. There are a few things that get posted I don't like much. However, on the whole, I love you guys, and enjoy posting with you. :) I bet the devs, and support enjoy it here too. "I would have listened... I would have understood!" - Scion

im not sure who the old guard on probation is that you speak of, most old posters that are on perma probation have mostly posted shit which is why they got silenced

I think I'll be on probation next. I was trying to take a break from the forums, but I saw an annoying post in GD and lost my temper.

" Hahaha that was funny because support wouldn't allow anyone else to create SFL threads. So I decided at some point to change the tittle and basically killed the discussion about a self found league. EDIT: I can't find it anymore. Maybe support deleted it? :( About the Old Guard, everyone should know who they are, because they are the guys that most post around here. And many of them were banned at the same time so I guess something happened.
