New troll weapon WOOOO
" Actually it would be a really great currency sink, do it 2x for all the unquies you decide to wear. Each person will also have it do it themselves. All in the name of minor statistical upgrades and if you're too cheap to get skin transfers. Последняя редакция: RagnarokChu#4426. Время: 24 февр. 2016 г., 17:11:36

" But YOUR shavs isn't full power yet, get on my level. Imagine every single time you up your item the name gets like a shiny golden special text, and then final upgrade it gets like an ultra special embroidered box all of the information about the item is housed when you mouse over it. " Right, I've been looking into it a bit and turns out some would be fairly powerful but none would be even close to broken. Very few uniques have %phys, flat phys and attack speed in high rolls, which is what makes a strong weapon. Goddess bound seems to be the worst offender with ~300 best case dps, but it's really a 2h weapon so it's fine. There's also Twyzel with 150 dps which is decent for a phys wand but not amazing. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

" Pillar of the caged god though, that shit would be hilarious if you could up the base. It's already quite capable of wrecking high end content as is. About this sword, i wish it had higher attack speed that's it. I can use a soul-taker up to 82 maps because of its attack speed and how that interacts with flat amounts of + phys and other things like leech/lgoh. If it had this base damage + 2.0 attack speed + its unique modifier it would be a very solid end-game choice. Even as is, i figure i could take it to end-game, would just have to stack a shit-ton of more multipliers to make the flat increase% really valuable. Prolly dual wield cleave so you can stack more melee phys/conc/hypothermia/melee on full life etc Peace, -Boem- edit : another thing to note, wild-strike and things like molten strike/lightning strike should be very capable with this sword, since their secondary effects are also scaled by "weapon specific" modifiers, which your naturally inclined to get. edit2 : another route is leech efficiency which you can get upwards of 125% of with this sword without taking "unnecessary" nodes. Will it get the leech from the claw nodes? If it does its fairly insane. I think one of the devs said they might be adding base crit to crit chance gem, and theres assassin. Youll be able to get high crit with it, if you can get all the claw leech + crit and all the dagger crit that in itself would be as worth it as a binos. You can kill anything with a binos.
I wouldnt trade my dagger for it, but it will probably do more damage than the best 1h weapon a person is likely to find in a league. If you are ci and you dont want to go south of vaal pact getting enough leech with a dagger can be a bitch, you can just camp all the claw and dagger nodes. If you go life then you can take the claw, dagger and sword wheels down the right side with acro and a coil. I think people are going to use it even outside of deadly dilettante, price will depend how common it is I guess. The jewel situation for that sword is also pretty rosy. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

" Yeah, the bonus would be significant but I still don't think it would be broken, pillar has a higher base than a facebreaker because of extra flat damage slots. He gets 25 average damage from weapon, 10 from belt, 50 from abyssus and another 50 from gloves and jewelry. Upgrading the staff would probably provide some 50% more dps or something. I'm quite curious if that would push us onto the pillar meta, kinda doubt it :) Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

The weapon says it counts as all one-handed weapons, which should include claws and as a result benefit from the claw leech notables.
Combine this with the fact some other left over clusters near duelist have some % on it for their respective weapon. 125% + leech gem + cherubims + voirici gloves/amulet and your looking at +- 300% leech rate efficiency. Which get's very close to vaal pact. It's a trade-off though, since it means pathing via shadow. Peace, -Boem- edit : " The relevant part would be, being able to drop abyssus and keep the same dps out-put. Which would enable your EHP to be pushed higher. Or go bat-shit crazy with an abyssus why not :) Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes Последняя редакция: Boem#2861. Время: 24 февр. 2016 г., 18:06:06

" This would still be a good thing if this added more high tier builds in the game that require large gear/time investments. That isn't just plan no-life farming and then buying it all at once, you can actually upgrade step up by step up while it being healthy for the game. Double upgrading pillars would take time and some currency and let's say multiple copies of the same item (each copy interchangeable with some sort of drop, or a giant chunk of random unquies) would remove them from the game and have something for people to look forward too. This will also push up or make +flat phy rolls on gear more valuable because someone has use for them. It would obviously scale the higher the item naturally can scale, goddness bound with a tier up system would be okay because you would need to get multiple copies and upgrade them. Then fuse them together multiple times into your copy ;V They could theoretically boost drop rates again if this was the way to bring up items to the next level, everyone can have a shavs eventually. But you going to need alot of them to get a "max shav." This would be a whole another can of worms because you can have the game be rewarding but giving you items, but the items would be weaker than they are now until you max the out which then they would be a bit more powerful then the current versions. This is just food for thought though and has is something different from what I'm saying above. TBH the game has too much "all or nothing" mentality with upgrading your gear. " I attribute this mostly to the gem/links system to be honest. I mean, if we had some kind of character stat page that contained links instead of actual gear i would gladly swap out minor incremental buffs to my character. As is, you simply save all of your components and go from "scrub level" to "lets go nuts in end-game". If your going to 6-link, why would you ever consider a leveling tool as opposed to your end-game viable weapon/armor for example. This negates the entire concept of slowly building up power as a character. Slight derail though, this thread is about the new unique weapon, not about perceived fundamental flaws of the game. I'm not opposed to a vendor formula that upgrades tiers of gear, but it would screw the current balance and might push more items in BiS slot's while GGG aims primarily to have rare gear occupy those slots.
