Melee Balance. With 600 upvotes, I think this deserves a little attention from GGG
As long as ranged chars can clear entire packs with one skill use, melee has no chance of being an alternative.
As long as maps consist 90% of giant packs of easy white mobs, single target melee skills have even less of a chance of being an alternative. They tried to help melee out with "Fortify".
Unfortunately, now casters and ranged characters can use it. The real problem is the monsters in this game. Every single fucking monster explodes, leaves something that explodes when it dies. Has a degen aura. Most monsters are targeted towards hurting melee. Fortify was a lazy "fix" to what they thought was wrong with melee. " So then change how they function. All melee skills should be playable. Else what is the point in having them in the game. they can either.. 1) change the functionality of the skill so that it is no longer single target. 2) make the single target skill have some function of auto targeting the nearest mob like multistrike does to some extent. 3) They could make melee splash support gem add the aoe tag to linked skills and have its focal point at the center. That would also make every melee skill not really "melee" to some though, but could be fun. aside i am sure the team can find a way to make melee more fluid. There are also many suggestions on reddit and in thread to do so. |

It is simply impossible: aoe skills will always outperform the single target skill, because they can oneshot a pack of mob instead of a single mob. The only solution is to return to a normal gameplay speed, with fights challenging that doesn't last for 0.1 seconds. The problem is not only the targetin monster that makes cluncky the single target skills. Otherwise remove all single target skills, and give to every skill some AoE forms or projectile. Recently GGG, in fact, have introduced almost aoe/projectile as new skills. So they already know that single target is a total crap. |

+1 for targeting issues. This is extremely annoying, and makes non targeting skills like EQ/cyclone feel far superior.
+1 for fortify getting a more multiplier. If less duration and slower projectiles can get a more multiplier, fortify should too. How would you factor in shield charge in your feedback though? It feels pretty strong at the moment. |

remove fortify suport and make it an implicit of melee skills, lowering ranged / aoe damage while increacing melee would olso help a lot, ranged and aoe damage output should not be even close to that of a single target melee skill. self found league fan
